Happy New Year! Never made it into the city but here's a (shaky) pic of the fireworks; balcony view. I expected to photograph a tiny fireworks fountain, but it turned out to be a little bigger when it went off.

Familiar method!

Lebbis and Jansen were okay... but different. Lots of anger and less to laugh about this time. But then there hasn't been much to laugh about last year... They appeared to be just as disgusted as I am about that 600.000 + people specifically voted for immigration minister Verdonk in the last election. A lot of the show was about her.

Today I did go into the city. Bought a new needle and pick up for the record player. Unfortunately I can't enjoy it yet since I wasn't able to assemble it to the tone arm, so now the store's going to do it for me next week. And since my favourite whisky was on sale I picked up an extra bottle of that as well. Hips.

Happy (belated) New Year everybody!

Kelly and I spent it in a seaside place called Kalbarri, which we really loved. We went gorge climbing and canoeing down the Murchison river, amongst other things.....we also spent time in Exmouth snorkelling, swimming and relaxing!

Hope everyone is happy and healthy.

I hope everyone is doing well. I've been spending the past few weeks with a wonderful girlfriend. We've already had some ups and downs but it's worked out well so far. I'll have pictures as soon as I figure out how to use my new digital camera.

My mouth is burning. I cooked spicy pasta but overdid it on the spices. Turned out more as a vindaloo pasta.

Well, that relationship was short-lived. She dumped me completely this afternoon. I knew she had some problems, but at the same time, we had everything in common. I was willing to learn her problems and to deal with them as well as change for her, yet it wasn't enough.

I'll be hiding in a hole if you need me. I'll take a full bottle of Grey Goose Vodka to go. Pour it in one of those fast-food drink cups and be sure to give me a straw.

That's a shame but maybe that was part of the problem. You shouldn't want to change for her. Be yourself, be real. If she doesn't want you as you are, she's not for you.

I'm better this morning. To sum it up, my bro says that she was a head case to begin with. My family did nothing but treat her like gold. And she severed ties to all of us, and the band she was with, just because we changed some plans for a field trip and she wasn't willing to compromise.

It's a shame. But it's her own loss.

Going to install myself with a drink. Hair of the dog would be fine...

We're getting another storm tonight... Fourth one in three weeks I think. The one on thursday was pretty bad, and as long as the temperatures don't drop to normal levels I suspect more will be to come still.

Going to install myself with another drink... and tell you about the problems with my sink. It's clogged of course! I have been trying for a couple of days to unclog it. Tried the soda and water treatment, enzyms, the plumber's snake (too short to reach it) and eventually put in a garden hose, which was long enough but couldn't spray the clog away.

Now I've found a store that rents out professional plumber's snakes to people who insist on DIY... Like me.  Going to pick it up tomorrow and hopefully I'll have a working sink tomorrow evening. Wish me luck!

 Nah, we complement eachother perfectly this way. I like to be able to fix everything myself, and he can save his masculinity for where it really matters. ;)

BTW: I could be a professional plumber, I fixed the sink!!!

The comment about saving his masculinity for when it really matters was very apt too I think. I never feel more masculine than when I'm slapping a woman around.....I'm sure Bobbi is the same.
