The Political Compass

Take the test and post your results...

Mine as follows:

The Political Compass
Economic Left/Right: 1.38
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -0.72

This means I lean slightly right and libertarian. I would say this is fairly accurate except I would've thought I was a little farther to the right.

That was fun, Dave! Here's mine:
Economic Left/Right: -3.63
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -1.59

This places me directly next to Gandhi. Go figure! People here have been labeling me "pro-war"!

Perception isn't always reality.

Well, here it is Dave.

Economic Left/Right -6.00
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian -1.44

According to the graph I lean a little over halfway to the left and slightly toward Libertarian. I haven't a clue what that means except that I care about people rather than party line philosophies and political posturing. :? It was fun though.

This shows that you are most likely fairly liberal on economic issues and somewhat authoritarian on social issues. Authoritarian meaning more government interference rather than less.

Okie Dokie. Well I either answered some question wrong, or something, because, while I agree the government has it's place in controlling certain facets of civilization, I think they are over controlling this country.

Cool thing- back in 99 I attended the World Festival of Sacred Music at the Hollywood Bowl and was able to meet the Dalai Lama, one of the greatest days of my life. There is such a calming peaceful aura surounding him.

Lulu

that is amazing - I met the Dalai Lama first in 1989 in Costa Rica at the World Peace Conference and then again two years ago when he graced the University. I was very fortunate to be one of 10 to be selected for a private audience.

You are so right. There is such a calming presence surrounding him - even tho, he makes you think, somehow your brain is much more calm and able to think more rationally.

Oh and by the way
