The proof readers were supposed to be anonymous, but Deano rarely passes up an opportunity to promote himself and did so with this tidbit of info.
It most definitely offended the Augeri fans, who felt that I had clearly shown who’s side I was on and saw this as somewhat of a reward bestowed by me upon Dean for what happened in 2006.

Personally I don't mind Deano myself. He's the kind of guy that if he's going to knife you, he'll knife you from the front rather than the back. I admire that as that seems to be a rare quality in the two faced, backstabbing world we live in. I have much more respect for him (despite the fact that I might disagree or find him too abrasive) than half these other people who would just assume unleash hell over something that shouldn't even have that kind of an impact on your life.
Does whoever that sings lead on Journey impact my day to day life? no
Does Journey pay my bills? no
Is Journey a required expense? no
So with all that in mind, I have to wonder about people who act like that. I can't imagine what its like to deal with this nor do I want to. But the bad attitudes at the host need to stop. As Jonathan Cain said to those same fans once... "Get a life."

This is your site, those are your interviews, your feature, & it's nobody's business why you chose who you did to help you out with the proofing & such. They all, DEAN included, did a wonderful job IMO. Please don't let the nit-pickers get to you like this.
And for those stating this place is "pro JSS", why don't you find someplace else to go then.

You are on Top of the Rock, Drew.

I know what a shitstorm the Journey forum can be, especially with the various opinions and feelings towards the band and the decisions they make. When the day is done, they're still their own band and don't really have to consult anyone regarding what they decide to do or not do. People just need to remember that. Sure everyone will have their favorite version or era, but that doesn't mean that others are wrong in their opinions. I'm not the Iron Fist type of person, but I have little tolorance for bullshit, or stupidity for that matter. Those threads wil either be deleted or locked and bossman can decide from there what to do. I have faith that "most" people can play in the sandbox nice. I guess we'll have to see

dave!!! the heavy metal strat!! greg howe's guitar.. i love them ,, purists strat dudes dont,,but i think those guitars really rock,, i think they have been out of production for about 13 years now.. good find..
I don't play much at all, really. I probably know more ABOUT guitars, guitar playing, and guitarists than any actual playing skill.
I paid about $700 for that thing back in, I think, 1992. It sounds good but it doesn't stay in tune like it should. I haven't played enough recently to justify spending the money to get it looked at to see what might be wrong with it. It stays in tune okay as long as I don't use the tremelo bar very much. If I had known better at the time, I probably would've saved up my money and bought a standard Strat.

Didnt even know Deano had proof -read, but it reinforces what most thought, that he was somehow protected and priviledged here, and typically, he always turns out to be about "self-promotion" ..all your guilty of Andrew, is being a poor judge of character.. you gave him many many many chances, but he always slapped you in the face. I took him on for a while, because I knew he was a loser.... but I soon gave up, as he had a small bunch of fellow losers around him, like vultures feeding off his scraps.... he was the court jester, and they were his fools... running to his defence. Afew of us knew the real truth... hello Moose, and others....who kept it real....
Keep the main site going man... thats where its at

Same here really.
I bought a lot of guitars back in 95, and it did keep my interest while I was single.
These days I know a whole lot of riffs, but not many complete songs. Putting in a cd, playing barre chords and singing along amuses me enough these days.
Still love having them around, and I have a lot of friends who play a lot so it makes for some fun jam sessions in my basement.
Do your tuners slip at all? My Ibanez used to go out of tune a lot until I replaced the stock tuners with a set of Grovers.
