Pics Of Your Musical Gear - Post them Here!

Postby Voyager » Fri Jan 12, 2007 8:05 am

I noticed that a few forum members started posting their guitar pics on a thread that was a topic about the forum getting a new moderator, so I figured it was time to start a Muisical Gear Photo thread. It goes without saying that there are probably a lot of musicians on a Journey forum, especially the one at MelodicRock.com. I'll start by posting a few pics of my basement studio:

Here's a few pics of my Moser Custom Van Halen Logo guitar (one of three made):

Here's a pic of my Jackson USA DK1:

Feel free to post your musical gear pics here, even if you posted them on another thread. Looking forward to seeing your collections!

Also, feel free to post photos of your band playing live gigs. Here's one of mine (I'm on drums):

Voyager,

Great looking room. I'm not a musician at all. I enjoy hearing my friends that play. I never had any musical ablilty. Ever play with Apple's GarageBand software?

No, I haven't Dcvader. I have been using Pro Tools recording software for the past three years. It seems to do just about everything I need it to.

Maybe we can even get JSS to post some pics of his gear and/or some live gig pics from his numerous bands?

I've got just the party in mind if you guys want to drive to Springfield, Illinois in August. We play a huge party at Lake Springfield that draws about 2,000 to 3,000 people. It's one hell of a party. I'll buy drinks!

i think voyagers pics have been photoshopped.... a musicians
room,, with no empty crushed beer cans,, no holes in the
wall were a fight occured,, no funny carpet stains,, no beat
up posters of chicks.. oh ohh,, no cigarette butts overflowing
in ash trays,, and where are all the pizza boxes ?? ,, some
thing is just oddly out of place..

AWESOME setup Voyage. That is amazing. Wish I were a real musician.

Anyway here are a few of my guitars. The Ovation Elite and Tele are not picured. The Ibanez PS-10 II is there but very dark in the background.

My Ibanez PS-10 2 is pictured Lydia Criss's new book - Sealed With a Kiss. It's on the final color page in a collage of Kiss memorabilia. A friend of mine did some of the artwork for the book and used my guitar in the photoshoot.

The book has tons of never seen before Kiss photos from the early days. Highly recommend it.

I don't have my own pics but I've pieced them together from pieces I found on the web...

My guitar, a Fender HM Strat (from somewhere between '88 to '92)

Image

My amp, a Fender Ultra Chorus amplifier...

Image

My only effects pedal, an Xtreme switch...

What guitars does T-Bone have?

Here's mine:

Gibson Les Paul Standard (Cherry Sunburst)
Ibanez PS-10 II
Fender Strat American Standard (rare red headstock ltd edition)
Ovation Elite Standard (acoustic electric)
Ovation Standard Balladeer (12 string)
Epiphone Casino
Mexican Telecaster
Cheapo Yamaha (1st guitar)

I sold most of mine off. I only have 3 at the moment, as well as my Line 6 Flextone II XL

1. My trusty 1992 Ibanez RG570 in flip flop Purple/Blue (Old Reliable)

2. A Strat copy

and....

3. A Prototype of my very own design from 1989 that finally got finished about 2 years ago. It was then revamped a little and the design is in the trusty hands of Neal Moser and Moser Custom Shop and will be part of his lineup of awesome axes in the near future. The tail was cut about 4 inches and the upper fret access was improved by making a little better cut and moving the lower horn out a little.

Neal was the man behind the BC Rich Bich and Virgin guitars as well as the electronics package they still use today on their handmades. He worked for them from 1974-1985

Past Toys:

Dean Custom 450 Neckthru

Image

BC Rich Innovator 6. Less than 80 ever made. The body was meant for Bass guitars, but they decided to try a 6 string on it. I wish I never would have sold it

Image

All these are gone now too

Image

Image

My Dillion LP679. Only about 25 were made as Gibson slapped them for it.

Image

My BC Rich Gunslinger that I refinished.

When I got it:

What I did to it:

My 1991 RG570. I got it when it was white and had Mitchel at Mean Street Guitars refinish it in Holoflash

And Lastly....

My Moser Evil Bich. Neal Designed the original Bich for BC Rich in 1976 as well as the Virgin. He's building his own guitars now. I sold this one, but I'm kinda kicking myself now

Yeah, I'm not too big a fan of the "metal" looking guitars myself. I like the standard Stratocaster or Gibson Les Paul shape the best, or slight modifications to that design.

not mine but close.

Haynes flute circa 1951, Brannen Cooper headjoint.

flute music, particularly Prokoviev or Vivaldi, can be classified as shredding. hair on fire, millions of notes flying by, barely in control.

get it and just play. listen and imitate. it is just as valid and effective as "legit" lessons.

no regrets. look forward!! go for it!
