If he's not like this in real life, maybe he is venting some past child abuse that he was a victim of in his childhood. Either way, I don't see this stuff as helping the forum in any way, shape, or form. It just makes me want to leave and find another forum to post on. I was a "victim" of Dean's early on in tapegate. When it was going round and round he PM'd me to explain things and for me to actually take a look at what was going on. Been a friend of his ever since.

Dean is just a passionate Journey fan. Much more than I could ever be. You can go to war against him, but in the end, he will just buy you a beer.

Saw JSS in AC, Boston and Baltimore. It's Jeff's time - and definitely the way to go.

Just got the Omaha boot with JSS and one of the final Augeri shows (Jones Beach 6/24)

As far as Journey is concerned...I will continue to support Journey as long as they continue to perform. That said, I've been on record as saying they'll never be musically relevant again, in our lifetimes, and stand by that. If my prediction turns out to be wrong, I'll be very okay with that. I just don't see Journey ever being taken seriously, by the music world, without Perry's voice (and probably not even with Perry's voice, at this point)!

I thought Camden was passable thanks to Deen C. Still better than Leppard even with a messed up Augeri.

Personally, they should have just let him sing on the Generations tour. I'd have rather him sounding like ass that what transpired. Really, if you watch the Jones Beach show, the crowd could give a fuck less what he sounds like. Blaring it all through the amps - no one cared. All high fives and shit.

Voyager, I don't want to write posts like this all the time. I do believe this one post was warranted and perhaps against Andrew's rules. Having said that, I DO want dissenting opinons and viewpoints, but I want them to be of a honest nature, not just dissenting for dissenting's sake.

Monker used to be a great poster. That guy knows his Journey history and his factual cache was awe inspiring. He was great up until early 2006. Then, when I grew bigger, and Tapegate was in full force, Monker got smaller and I think he got pissed. This isn't about who is bigger, but who can make an argument and win the argument. Tapegate was an argument I knew I couldn't lose, because it was truth I had, however, having said that, Tapegate killed me internally. You have any idea how sour, pissed and genuinely hurt at what was happening with my Band resorting to this shit? The next time I read about how unfair I and others are to Steve Augeri, think too how much I and others hurt because of the cheapening of Journey. I hurt a lot worse than Mr. Awesome did/does. At least he walked away with some serious bank. Although he has his money, I have my band back, and I would choose live, unfiltered Journey, than sleazy payout money, everytime.

Anyway Voyager, I don't want to be heard just to be heard. My point of this post was not harmony or nothing. I welcome opposition. I want Monker and others who are so negative on Journey, and so pessimistic about the Band and it's future, to go on record, and state their predictions and thoughts. I am the one going out on a limb. I DO predict a hit song. Yes, I said it, a hit single that will receive radio play. Others who disagree, get on record and say so.
