Hey Gang,
Was Forever In Blue from TBF ever performed live?
Does anyone have a definitive list of songs from TBF that were done live other than
WYLAW and MOL?

If He Should Break Your Heart

Postby steve7711 » Sun Jan 14, 2007 3:51 am

If He Should Break Your Heart was played 2 or 3 times during the Arrival Tour in 2001. I have a fair audience tape from Scranton where Augeri does a good job with the song.

Cheers,

Steve

FIB...one of the best on Trial By Fire.
The Steve Smith drums are killer.

Main riff is a lot like A Better Life, another kick ass tune.

TBF is (I think) the only Perry era album that I listen to all the way through without skipping a track. Nothing against Perry at all, I just think all those songs are amazing and they're all really melodic which is what keeps me interested as a listener.

I actually liked Forever in Blue. The song off TBF that truly got on my nerves was "Dont be Down on Me" or something like that. That was like raking finger nails on a chalk board to my ears. Pure garbage. Then again I also seemed to be one of the few who enjoyed "One More".

"One More" rocks! I was very thrilled and impressed with this heavy side of Journey.

Forever in Blue isn't one of my favorites, but it's not a bad song. I love Don't Be Down on Me and One More. In fact I've gotten so into the soulfulness of DBDOM that I've put it on repeat and listened to it several times in a row. One More may be the most rockin' song Journey recorded IMO next to Lay it Down.

Me too Carol. I do skip some if my listening time is limited and I want to only hear what's the heart of if for me, but I like it all. :)

That is for sure

Easy To Fall is one of Perry's best vocals ever
Colors of The Spirit kicks ass ,
Castles Burnin kicks even more.
Still She Cries awesome
Its Just The Rain smooth

Yeah, I wish he would mess up a few more like that. TBF is the crowning achievement of Journey's glory. For me Easy to Fall is the star in that crown.

Did you know that Easy To Fall was actually played on the radio
When TBF was leaked on the internet someone sent in Easy To Fall to a Houston Radio station and the DJ played it saying it was Journeys new single
I heard a tape of it and was freaked out
That was the first TBF song I ever heard and to this day can't believe how Perry just pours his soul into that song
I listen to that song just about ever day.
I heard it 2 times today and love it every single time I hear it.
Just awesome.,

Not one of my favorite tracks on the CD but not bad, either. It was redeemed slightly when I learned that Perry had written it about his mother.

That's pretty much how I feel about it too. I think it's a good song and Steve does good on the vocals, but it's not my favorite either.

I had no idea Froy. I never heard anything but MOL and WYLAW on the radio. I only heard Easy to Fall after I got the CD and that song hit me as the best of Journey the first time I heard it. I don't listen to it every day because I don't get a chance to every day. I listen to it every time I get a chance. I do put it on repeat occasionally. I never get tired of it. Sometimes I wonder if people who don't like it just don't get it. There's so much in that song.

Side note: I did hear the FTLOSM title song on the radio even though I don't think it was ever released as a single. That's another one that just gets to me.
