Info On House of Blues Bump

Postby Jeremey » Tue Jan 16, 2007 1:58 pm

Hey you guys. Just an update on the Frontiers show next Saturday, January 27th at the House of Blues in Cleveland, OH! Late news is that there will NOT be a Def Leppard tribute act opening the show for us, which would have been cool, but even cooler is that the show will be a full 2.5 hour of an Evening with Frontiers, so we'll be able to dig a little deeper & maybe bring out a new tune or something. Showtime is 8 PM - Tickets can be purchased in advance from House of Blues Cleveland or from Ticketmaster.

For those of you that missed the show on Saturday (sorry, Mike and Ed, I realize you had to drown your sorrows somewhere else and "Who's Cryin' Now wouldn't have been the best soundtrack to that evening), or had to leave early due to the crowd (sorry, Steve & Donna!), I've got some video of Saturday's show posted - the crowd noise was a little much, but here's some tunes for you all to check out...

Still They Ride

Send Her My Love

Ask The Lonely

Line of Fire

Dave & Joe - It was great seeing you guys again! Hope some of y'all Lake Effect people can make it to the show next week in Cleveland.

Sorry, Steve - We were this close to doing a show Friday 1/26 at Chicago House of Blues due to a cancellation there. Unfortunately with the 12 hour drive up there and then the 6 hour drive back to Cleveland, then the 7 hour drive back to Roanoke on Sunday, it wasn't worth what their budget allowed. Fucking rock stars and their busses and drivers. That's the only way to do a gig like that....

We're definitely on their radar though, if a Saturday Chicago gig comes up later this year, we'll be there.

Sweet, I hope we get another chance. This was a last minute cancellation at HOB Chicago and I guess they felt that the 7-10 days they had to promote the show up there wouldn't have been enough prep time to recoup what we were asking for. It's definitely do-able for a Saturday, but we'd be waiting for another cancellation as HOB up there is booked at least a year in advance. Other than that, come on down to Cleveland! :D

I said no.... then she says oh so it's steve augeri right? I said close but no...
Finally she says is that a new boot with JSS He sounds so much like Steve Perry.

You were lipping! Just Kidding, you sound great! Thanks for that, and like roknroseville said, how about a DVD? Are there any?
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

Hey man,
We don't have any shows on DVD. We did a one-off release a couple years ago of our Jefferson Center show from 2005, however, there are no more copies available than the few that were sold off of our website. To say the band has grown musically & vocally since then would be an understatement...I do occassionally post "bootleg" audio from some gigs, but there is no other video other than what turns up on YouTube from time to time. Thanks for checking though!

What is that place in the warehouse district - The Rosebud or something like that - Do they have tribute acts? Or there was a place right next to it that was a little less swanky, I can't remember.

There's two types of venues we do well in, depending on the town:

1) Yuppie hipster places full of 23 year old girls
2) Wherever a band like Winger or LA Guns would play when they come to town

Normally we do better in a place like (1) but some towns have a different music scene and we end up in a place like (2).

Bumping for tomorrow's show in Cleveland.

Small update on the set list - The "new" tunes will be "Can't Tame The Lion" and a birthday tribute to Perry with "Missing You."
