That's what's been happening since 2000.

Obama was so impressive last year at the convention and since has realy played all the cards right...I think we are more ready to elect a black well educated man into office rather than some rabid pitbull bitch looking for purely power!!!! There..I feel better now.

I like Obama too, but I like Hilary more. I haven't yet heard anyone give any legitimate reason for disliking her other than because she's a strong, intelligent woman who doesn't mind busting a few balls. But then again, that's probably why the guys don't like her. If she was more like Stratford Wife Laura Bush more men would probably like her. Afterall, a woman's place is trying to put more books in the school library, not trying to devise a plan to provide adequate health care to a nation, right?
If you think Clinton came up through money you need to do a little more research on that.

ohsherrie wrote:And you honestly don't realize that it's that spending kick that has helped over inflate the numbers that indicate to you that our economy is stronger?
Some of those people who don't have as much in their retirement accounts are in that situation because their companies screwed them out of part of it just before they closed operations in this country. I'm not just talking about the ones as obvious as Enron, it's being done to various degrees more covertly by a lot of companies.
You must be, or just totally deluded. The economy is absolutely not better for the majority of this country. The middle class is disappearing.[ Everyone sees that, even Trump.
I'm beginning to think you must live in a microcosm made up of your own political belief system, stereotypes and platitudes.

A president is supposed to inspire Americans with their eloquent speeches. Every time this jackass opens his mouth, I cringe listening to him, attempting to put an English sentence together! The one thing I will agree with you on is that Jimmy Carter was a very poor president. That said, he's the best ex-president this country has ever seen, and I would take Carter over Bush, ANYDAY! Carter at least managed not to get over 3000 American soldiers killed, fighting a war that should have never happened!

Sherrie, you really are ridiculous. I make concessions and agree with points made by people on the left all the time but you just can't bring yourself to agree with anything Bush says or give him credit where credit is due simply because of your blind hatred for him.
I concede that Clinton deserves credit for the economy during his term. I concede that Clinton deserves credit for the balanced bugdets during his term. I concede that Clinton deserves credit for welfare reform. What are you willing to concede that Bush should get credit for? If you say absolutely nothing, then it is obviously you who are livingin a "microcosm" of your own making. EVERY president, even the worst ones, deserve credit for SOMETHING. Heck, even Carter, who I believe to be possibly the worst President ever, deserves some respect at least for holding that office and even other positive things that came out of his administration. If I can find positive things that Carter accomplished, can you find even one? If not, I would examine why it is you hate Bush so much.

Wait a sec - good ol' W was a coke head and loved to party. He's had 8 years. I'm not saying I'd vote for Obama, but W isn't a saint.

Will anyone ask him if his Chicago political background will taint him? Will anyone ask themselves WHY he is qualified to be the Pres.with only 2 yrs in Congress. I don't want him protecting this country from terrorists. We WILL get hit sooner or later.Sooner if the Lib ACLU gets any more rights to terrorists who want to kill all of us. Bush has waived to them with 1 finger and I think that has slowed terror attacks by listening in to who they call in other countries.

Just wait, they will make a stink about his middle name. Hussein. He only lived in Indonesia from ages 6 to 10. The majority of his education, and most importantly, his higher education has been in the U.S. including Harvard Law School, and was elected president of the Harvard Law Review. Was Magna Cum Laude at Harvard in 91 when he recieved his Doctor of Law. Not too bad for a young politician.

This is old news and who even really knows if it's true. To be honest, I don't really care if any politician used cocaine or smoked a joint at some point in their distant past.

There's hope for you yet. Now please report to the nearest hospital for a labotomy.

In the last 10 years three businesses, one quick stop type gas station/food mart, and two Italian restaurants have shown up in this very small town. Hardly any small businesses of this nature have ever survived in this town, but these are thriving. The only thing that makes them different from the norm are that they're run by middle eastern people. There were NO people of that ethic group here before.
