NAMM 2007 Q to those that went...

Postby Andrew » Mon Jan 22, 2007 10:58 pm

To those that went on any basis - official or otherwise - give me your thoughts.

I'm just wondering out loud if I shouldn't be there in 2008 hocking this site to all and sundry....God knows I could use some fresh business contacts

Plus I'm working on something else that might be of relevance.

I sent you a PM suggesting just that.

There were only 5,000 people walking the place at any one time. Think about it. Throw in the malcontent derailed rock stars who need some PR, and your trip is more than paid for.

You people insisting on going next year. You DO know that you need to be invited, ie, have a badge. You have better luck having brunch at the White House than getting into NAMM.
Until we meet again, may God

Never been before, but certainly have wanted too. Only that freeking airfare thing again. Living in the ass end of the world is expensive at times :)

You should move to the U.S., most of your MR business is here isn't it? Bring the family, they'll love it.

Considered many times. I'd live there tomorrow, but we have all our family here and Nicholas (my eldest) starts school 2 days a week next month. Hard to disrupt that...

But, I need to fugure out a cheaper way of getting over there more often!

Dean,

I had access to tickets for NAMM, just had to decide between the two trips, ARF or NAMM. Wished I could have stayed out there for the whole two weeks in between! Next year will be a different story!!

NAMM always sounds so fun, but i'm neither a musician nor a music merchant, so i feel i would have no business being there.

anyone remember the foundations forum (a hard rock/metal conference) back in the 90's? i've gone to a few of those. 3 days worth of partying & trashed hotel rooms!

i'll be going to the pollstar thing next month. i have no idea what to expect there.
