Care to wager?

Your defense sucks. Seattle ran up your gut at will. Grossman is awful and you don't get to play your game in a fucking icebox this time.

Manning sure as Hell didn't choke yesterday did he?

Indy, 31, Chi, 17

The only way the Colts will win is if their run defense steps up BIG TIME. They have to force Grossman to have to beat them. Then I like their chances. But if the Bears control the clock by running, which I see them doing, it's over.

Regardless of the opposing team's gameplans in the playoffs, the Colts are still only giving up 73 yards rushing per game in the three playoff games. I don't see them allowing the Bears to run up huge numbers like their D did during the season.

Maybe not, but the pressure of playing in the SB can have amazing effects on people. Never know what to expect. It really could go either way. Should be a great game.

I think Indy wins this game, going away! Indy is simply much too strong of a team for Chicago! I would never be foolish enough to say Chicago has NO chance, at all. Remember the Patriots and Rams in 2001??? Everyone said the Patriots would lose by 3 touchdowns (they were 14 point underdogs, in the freakin' Super Bowl)! Hell, people in Boston thought they would get smoked, and they won the game! There is always a chance something goofy might happen. I just don't see Chicago being able to handle Indy's offense. They have far too many guys on that team who are able to put up numbers! I say Indy wins the game 31-17.

Of course the Bears will win!! "Good Rex" has to show up, the defense has to cause turnovers, and the offense has to hang on to the ball. That's not too much to ask for, is it?

Just listening to the radio here in Chicago. Indy gave up 2 touchdowns on kickoffs and a punt return, too. Their special teams are horrible. Could be the difference. The Bears DO have Devin Hester.

Those commercials are hilarious! I especially like the one with Ditka where he says "The past is for cowards" after those guys say they are going to a 70s party.

Agree...those commercials are UNBELIEVEABLY funny.

I've seen Ditka, Walsh (hysterical), Vermiel (good for a few yuks, as well), but Mora is the funniest.
They even loop the "DON'T TALK ABOUT.....PLAYOFFS!!!! .....PLAYOFFS???!?!?!?!" back in at the end like he's just standing there going off repeating himself.

Best thing is no left coast or East coast team... its an I 65 super bowl! Torn here, between both teams---would love to have REX silence the critics... but it would be great for Manning to silence his as well... two african american coaches too... great stories for the next two weeks... BTW--ESPN has already started the pre-game show!! LOL!!

Neither is "African-American." They're both black Americans. In fact, my research suggests that neither has even been to Africa. Besides, Africa is a continent. If you want to trace your descent or heritage, be a bit more specific...use a country perhaps. For example, my nationality (nation of origin) is American. The same as Dungy's and Smith's. They're black-Americans and I'm a white-American. I'm NOT "European-American" just like they're NOT "African-Americans."

Dude, lighten up----I only say that, because thats whats been taught in the media.. look at all the articles regarding such... most will say african american...be pissed off at me if you want to... but I juat say it as I see em.

#2 they dont play the super bowl at Green Bay or Chicago two words no dome!! The game is a reward not a ticket to play in sub zero conditions... and MIA is a lot better reward than CHI TOWN or Green Bay. If KC ever updates Arrowhead and gets a dome, one day the super bowl will be there.

Still not sure who I want to win.

Sorry if I sounded condescending...didn't mean to. As for the "reward" I posted this yesterday:

The "reason" it's not played at Lambeau or Soldier Field is because, like every other sport, it's corporate. Those fat fuckin' pussies with their Izod sweaters on, wouldn't make it 5 minutes in real football weather. Tailgating in frigid conditions and then going to the game in its intended environment is what it's all about. Watching football players play at half speed because of the heat is completely uninspiring. Football is a Fall/Winter sport. Why play it in golf conditions? Let's have it played in Chicago, outdoors, and maybe I'D get to go. Sorry, just can't afford $3500 for the WORST seats in the house. That's what scalpers want. Those corporate "fans" wouldn't be outside I'll guarantee you that.

You are somewhat right, st. john. But the fact that the SB is played in a dome or in a warm climate does ensure that neither team has an advantage. If they played the SB in a blizzard, and it was the Bears vs. the Dolphins, we all know who would win.

I just despise dome teams. I understand the concept in baseball. Seattle would have 40 rainouts a year. But football? There's really no excuse to have a dome other than your fans are fairweather, or cowards. The Colts clearly have an advantage. They've set the temperature in their dome at an obnoxiously high temperature all year. The announcers even commented on it during the Pats game. That would make them a lot more prepared for Miami conditions than the Bears. But, as I said, it'll never be the other way around because of those corporate "fans." Bears are still going to win.

If you want the bottom line answer.. yes the Super Bowls main objective back in the early days was to get more fans, get more sponsers and yes to MAKE $$$$ for TV and the owners themsefls. CORP PROFITS ARE THE WAY IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE IN A FREE MARKET.... I think the old school NFL guys are smiling in their graves!!!

BTW the Bears will pull a mild upset...as they did not use all their energy during the Saints game---Since Miami has grass right?? The best part of this years game...both teams are TEAM ORIENTED... everyone contributes!!

Sounds like a few isolated incidents to me. After all, no one WAS hurt or injured. This would happen just about anywhere on the east coast or midwest. That's part of the reason it's called "homefield advntage." Making people scared to come to your "house" is a good thing. As long as you don't cross a certain line and I really don't think it was crossed. Sour grapes.

I live in the Chicago area, and I heard nothing about this in the media. Maybe I just missed it, but I seriously doubt that phone calls from specific area codes were not answered. I wouldn't put it past some drunken fools to throw the snowballs though, and that's just wrong. I think the heckling is normal anywhere. The signs were mean and uncalled for. It's sad, but you have all kinds of whack jobs living in every city. Some of them can even afford those tickets! I have a friend who has season tickets and was at the game, so I'll have to ask him if he saw any of that behavior.
