However, the above...(and let me be clear)...was a point of contention on my site, because you were making statements about Augeri's lip syncing that you did not have proof for. As I've already stated, here and elsewhere, I was very supportive of your blog and considered the proof that you leveled against Augeri regarding lip syncing, at the very least, amazingly convincing. It convinced me.

What I felt was inapropriate was making comments regarding Augeri's live singing prior to that which you had proof (which If I recall correctly, was between 2005 and 2006). If you have actual proof that Augeri lip synced prior to 2005 and that the 2001 DVD was NOT live (save for minor studio corrections which EVERY band does these days)....then I will be the first guy to appologize to you. Until then, what you were saying was slander (especially given your self-appointed closeness to the band)...and I thought it was at the very least, inapropriate. Regardless, that's not what got you banned from the TJF site. Your inability to defend your position without being downright nasty was.

I never wanted there to be such a rediculous dichotomy between boards. There ARE differences between the boards...and there are different people that feel comfortable at each one. If our board wasn't a place you wanted to be (which was clear from the start) THATS fine. I would want you to respect that, as I do and hopefully others here, TJF and BT.

In the end, we're all talking about a band that we love...and the fighting is downright childish.

I understand what you mean, and don't want to see an all-out war, but surely you have seen all the crap that has been said about MR over there by folks, including the moderators. What has frustrated me (and I have said as much) is that the creators of that other site used your forum as a springboard for their forum, and then have the nerve to say how poorly run it is here. It reeks of hypocrisy, especially given all the shit that is said over there.

Mob mentality? I don't care what ANYONE says, there is a so-called 'mob mentality' on any of these forums, if your opinions are in the minority. It's always someone ganging up on someone else for their beliefs. The JourneyForums and BT have it too, they just don't recognize it because they aren't the ones being called out. It is a mob mentality for the Augeriheads here and at BT (now) because SA is not being worshipped by all parties. Those that were SP or even JSS supporters thought it was a mob mentality prior to the change in lead singer because their differing opinions weren't as welcome there. I believe it's the same with every forum, Journey and otherwise.

What started out as a great opportunity for the new site has spiraled out of control. There is no longer a sense of fairness there. The only difference is that people aren't always as in-your-face with their responses. A turd by any other name still stinks.

At the end of the day, Deano has your back. And while his presentation sometimes leaves something to be desired, his content is dead on.

TJF had great possibilities but the prejudice against MR, Deano, and JSS won out over those of us who just wanted to discuss Journey past, present and future.

Not everyone over there is there for the purpose of criticizing MR and Jeff, but the ones that are about that are the ruling class right now. That's how boards take on a reputation that the moderators didn't intend.
