VAN HALEN REUNION TOUR TO KICK OFF IN LAS VEGAS:
By Norm Clarke, Review Journal Las Vegas / "A Van Halen reunion tour, with David Lee Roth back in the fold after 22 years, is in the works, with a Las Vegas launch looking good. A late April date at the Palms' new venue, The Pearl, is "99 percent" likely, a source said. It would be the latest coup for Palms owner George Maloof, who will open the 2,500-seat venue with a lineup that includes Tool, Evanescence, Gwen Stefani along with Van Halen, all in the first month. Many critics consider Van Halen the greatest party-metal rock band of all time."

I think everybody will be curious about this. It will be interesting to see what transpires the first time Dave says something to Wolfie that Eddie doesn't like. Dave being Dave, it's bound to happen eventually.

BTW, there was an item in the San Jose Mercury News dated January 27 that states "Van Halen will kick off their tour in North Carolina in early May". So which is it, boys, Las Vegas or North Carolina? :?

The last tour with Sammy kicked off in Greensboro NC (I think). Kind of an odd place to start a tour.

Same here, I really wonder how Wolfie will do.

I'd like to see some footage of this show as well. Honestly, that may determine if I'd consider getting tickets if they play near me.

The whole thing just seems like a cash grab to me, not a real band. No thanks.

I've said it before, but I'll say it again...

I don't care if the kid blows Billy Sheehan's balls off on bass...there is still going to be a large part of the crowd giving him shit, and chanting "We want Mike". I fucking guarantee it. And just how is this kid going to handle that? How is Eddie going to handle that? Not very well, is my guess.
