To be perfectly honest...I don't. I'm a peace and love kinda guy you know....all this negative shit and the constant ragging on everything I do here in reltion to Journey is sucking the absolte life out of me. I hate it.

But the more BS is hurled at me and this forum, the more I'm going to dig my heels in. This forum has been here a long time and it sure as shit isn't going to go away and nor is a JSS fronted Journey.

Well, we need to just completely ignore that site. They are exactly 208 people. Let them spew their crap all they want all over each other, and if we don't read it, it won't matter. It isn't like it's Yahoo or something, they are the only ones that see it. MR will not suffer one bit from what that little site says about it or us. I will go over there now and close my account and never go back. We all need to. That site can only affect any of us if we let it.
We can take MR and our JSS fronted Journey and have a ball with it.
That's my 2¢ worth anyway.

I agree completely.

I don't think there's more than 15 or 20 regulars... You can't keep everyone happy and it was nice to see a few that were banned from here gathering to throw shit at me without any fear of being reigned in.

I might add that the last thing I wanted to do was debate the contents of another forum unfavouably, but the owners of that site clearly stated at the beginning that they did not want their forum used to bash me and this forum, yet all the active topics in the Line Of Fire section are clearly doing just that.

I'm accused of having a mob mentality over here, but I see far more varied views among the posts here than I do there.

Anyway, that's my last word on it. Any more would be a waste of time and energy....

Not so Dave. I think we get along fine here, and then I read this there:
.

Anyway, the whole "you can't be my friend if you're their friend" attitude is juvenile regardless of the reasons. If that's your attitude, then you're nothing more than a pimple-faced adolescent...

I will assure you my complexion is perfect.

I posted along the same lines both on your forum, here, and on The Journey Forums. True, I probably didn't use the same exact wording each time, nor did I use that pic elsewhere, but I think I pretty much said the same thing at each place. Any differences in the posts aren't due to my trying to be sneaky. Regardless, I stand by what I said. It is rather juvenile to say that you can't be a member of forum A if you're a member of forum B. I understand your reasons for saying that but what it boils down to is that I wasn't the one that betrayed any inside info to the other forum, so my membership in that forum shouldn't be an issue.

Anyway...I need to grow hair more than I need a better complexion.

Andrew, let me throw this out publically, that I make it very clear that not only do I have the utmost respect for you, that I do not want the forums used as a platform against you. I'm made it clear to certain people that you and I have spoken about privately that the rhetoric either needs to go away or toned down significantly, and in specific cases it has.

Does that mean that opinions can not be expressed? Absolutely not. What's good for the goose is good for the gander. On any given sunday, (or any other day for that matter) there's at least one good'n plenty thread here where Monker, Fred, CJ, myself, or any other regulars at my site are the subject of some very distasteful and downright wrong topicality. Posts where people say "I need to take a Monker and whipe my Fred" are wrong. The difference, I might suggest, is that I would never let anyone post like that on my site. If someone has a negative opinion on MR.com or more likely, posters here, I make it very clear that it shouldn't be done in an offensive manner, albeit on a case by case basis harsh and critical are ok. They certainly are here.

Now, if you have suggestions to ease these rediculous and unnecessary tensions, I'm all ears. Please PM me either here or there. I'm more than willing to talk about ways to make both sites co-exist without the tensions that are currently alive. Otherwise, it's my last comments on this board regarding site dynamics between the two sites.

I'm not Andrew, but I would like to reply to this:

Strangegrey, you seem like a nice guy. I did like the JourneyForums when it first went live, because there was a lot of informative stuff there. Things that I hadn't found here or elsewhere. But, somewhere along the way, those informative threads got replaced with bitch sessions, first about MR and BT, and more recently about JSS and Deano. I publicly stated over there that this was the reason I no longer wanted to be a part of your forum. Now it just seems like one big conspiracy theory, with little (and some not-so-little) insults along the way. You guys deleted Dean's membership after he told you to, but you couldn't leave it at that. You put "banned crybaby" above his avatar. Where's the professionalism in that? The insults are plentiful on your site, you're no different than here. It's just that some people choose to express them differently there. For any halfway intelligent reader, though, they're as plain as the nose on Steve Perry's face.

I do belive that the last 3 threads started in your "Line of Fire" section are directly aimed at Jeff Scott Soto, MR, and/or Dean. And you yourself started "Fucking Backtalk, I'm done!!". That doesn't necessarily cast a positive light on your forum. I would love to see an end to the tensions between the 2 boards, but at this point I think (just my opinion) it's gonna take a little more work on your part.

Be the change you want to see in others.

Okay Donna!

Screw this kumbaya shit, sorry. The whole forum war stuff is stupid. MR Journey forum is the place, imo. The rest are there for those that find the colorful nature of the personalities too much to handle and that is okay. This is over a fucking band!! How ridiculous is that? A new realease, shows, new boots... will give way to discussion about the music (I hope). Til then each forum will do what it does- some are bitchfests and some are not. I've left JF and Strange is leaving MR (?) good exchange as far as I'm concerned.

strange grey........you are reading the posts made at your site, arent you? are you sure that offensive manners are frowned upon? when you were first promoting this little site .. you stated that it would be less moderated then BT. and more than MR.. or something close,, but ill travel over there and see its ok to talk hatred for the band and jss, and MR.. i really think it might not be so clear to all the posters that it is offensive.. i realize that , harsh and critical are all part of perception i know,..but i must say that you started off with a bang,, but dude,, you have let some downright EMBARRASSING posts and posters in you gang.. opinions are one thing,, but complete anger and hate are another.. its sad that in a short period of time it has come to this.. SO what exactly was your original goal for your site? i would imagine a place to share and enjoy... i cant imagine you created a place just to bad mouth band members....

I still don't see how Andrew or Frank can be expected to pick up on and instantly censor every single remark by their respective guests that other music fans might get steamed (or worse PRETEND to get steamed) at.

Either turn your barrels on the offender(s) and blaze back, laugh it off or ignore. Yes, to an extent these CEOs ARE accountable for the remarks of their guests but to run them into town square and lynch them over what sometimes are cartoonish "attacks" is silly and unfair.

Great post, Donna.
I've been casually following the JFs (lurking if you will) just to
see how it was gonna turn out.
Hell, I LOVE talking about this band and will do whenever I cn.
But the way things have transpired over the past week or 2
have really went downhill for that site.

I recognize alot of the names over there; exiles from here,
big fans of Mr Augeri's that need a place to vent in the
colorful manner that they hated to see at BT...

Maybe they should just re-name the place. There really isn't much "Journey"
talk going on anymore. How about "The Witchhunt Forums"?
Hell, call it "The X-Files" since there are som many conspiracy theories floating
around there now about Dean-this, Dean-that, Lula's-a-this, Jeff's-a-that...
Way too much he-said-she-said bullshit and all-out misery over there.

In a way, I guess you AND Cj can relax now...
No need to feel guilty about terminating someone's account.
They now have a site to migrate to once they are homeless for a spell :)

God, I love the Wombat!
You still got these cool undies you wore in LA
when you were trying to meet Mr. Elliot???
