To be perfectly honest...I don't. I'm a peace and love kinda guy you know....all this negative shit and the constant ragging on everything I do here in reltion to Journey is sucking the absolte life out of me. I hate it.
But the more BS is hurled at me and this forum, the more I'm going to dig my heels in. This forum has been here a long time and it sure as shit isn't going to go away and nor is a JSS fronted Journey.
That's life.

Well, we need to just completely ignore that site. They are what, a hundred people at the most? Let them spew their crap all they want all over each other, and if we don't read it, it won't matter. It isn't like it's Yahoo or something, they are the only ones that see it. MR will not suffer one bit from what that little site says about it or us. I will go over there now and close my account and never go back. We all need to. That site can only affect any of us if we let it.
We can take MR and our JSS fronted Journey and have a ball with it.
That's my 2¢ worth anyway.

I agree completely.
I don't think there's more than 15 or 20 regulars... You can't keep everyone happy and it was nice to see a few that were banned from here gathering to throw shit at me without any fear of being reigned in.
I might add that the last thing I wanted to do was debate the contents of another forum unfavouably, but the owners of that site clearly stated at the beginning that they did not want their forum used to bash me and this forum, yet all the active topics in the Line Of Fire section are clearly doing just that.
I'm accused of having a mob mentality over here, but I see far more varied views among the posts here than I do there.
Anyway, that's my last word on it. Any more would be a waste of time and energy....

I am not above criticism and I have made apologies for mistakes made...and I'm always available for anyone with a problem or constructive suggestion, but the current level of obsession and abuse is to the point of rediculous!

Not so Dave. I think we get along fine here, and then I read this there:

Anyway, the whole "you can't be my friend if you're their friend" attitude is juvenile regardless of the reasons. If that's your attitude, then you're nothing more than a pimple-faced adolescent...
I will assure you my complexion is perfect.

Andrew, let me throw this out publically, that I make it very clear that not only do I have the utmost respect for you, that I do not want the forums used as a platform against you. I'm made it clear to certain people that you and I have spoken about privately that the rhetoric either needs to go away or toned down significantly, and in specific cases it has.
Does that mean that opinions can not be expressed? Absolutely not. What's good for the goose is good for the gander. On any given sunday, (or any other day for that matter) there's at least one good'n plenty thread here where Monker, Fred, CJ, myself, or any other regulars at my site are the subject of some very distasteful and downright wrong topicality. Posts where people say "I need to take a Monker and whipe my Fred" are wrong. The difference, I might suggest, is that I would never let anyone post like that on my site. If someone has a negative opinion on MR.com or more likely, posters here, I make it very clear that it shouldn't be done in an offensive manner, albeit on a case by case basis harsh and critical are ok. They certainly are here.
Now, if you have suggestions to ease these rediculous and unnecessary tensions, I'm all ears. Please PM me either here or there. I'm more than willing to talk about ways to make both sites co-exist without the tensions that are currently alive. Otherwise, it's my last comments on this board regarding site dynamics between the two sites.

I'm not Andrew, but I would like to reply to this:
Strangegrey, you seem like a nice guy. I did like the JourneyForums when it first went live, because there was a lot of informative stuff there. Things that I hadn't found here or elsewhere. But, somewhere along the way, those informative threads got replaced with bitch sessions, first about MR and BT, and more recently about JSS and Deano. I publicly stated over there that this was the reason I no longer wanted to be a part of your forum. Now it just seems like one big conspiracy theory, with little (and some not-so-little) insults along the way. You guys deleted Dean's membership after he told you to, but you couldn't leave it at that. You put "banned crybaby" above his avatar. Where's the professionalism in that? The insults are plentiful on your site, you're no different than here. It's just that some people choose to express them differently there. For any halfway intelligent reader, though, they're as plain as the nose on Steve Perry's face.
I do belive that the last 3 threads started in your "Line of Fire" section are directly aimed at Jeff Scott Soto, MR, and/or Dean. And you yourself started "Fucking Backtalk, I'm done!!". That doesn't necessarily cast a positive light on your forum. I would love to see an end to the tensions between the 2 boards, but at this point I think (just my opinion) it's gonna take a little more work on your part.
Be the change you want to see in others.

Either turn your barrels on the offender(s) and blaze back, laugh it off or ignore. Yes, to an extent these CEOs ARE accountable for the remarks of their guests but to run them into town square and lynch them over what sometimes are cartoonish "attacks" is silly and unfair.
