You mean....you look the same, exactly, as you did 20 years ago??? WOW!!!!!!

Man, you really hate Van Halen don't you? Why do you waste so much time and energy on a band and man you hate so much??

I just don't get it - you are doing yourself no good at all.....

Wow, Kenny, you need to lighten up, dude. Nothing obscene has been posted, and I'm sure there have been a lot worse things said about Ed.

No, I don't hate anyone in Van Halen. They have always been one of my favorite bands. Sarcasm is different than hate. When I see one member of Van Halen dragging the rest of the band down, I personally believe a little sarcasm is due. Celebrities like EVH have way too many yes-men around them telling them they are doing great. Someone needs to help them face reality, and obviously many of Eddie's fans have no problem doing just that on forums like this one. I'm certainly not in the minority when it comes to being critical of Eddie for his immature, childish tantrums and foolish decisions that come out of his alcohol-saturated brain. Go visit the RothArmy.com forums and take a look at how they rip on EVH. They make what I say look like compliments.

The only thing I did with the above photo was clone a REAL photo of Eddie's face onto the PHOTOSHOPPED version that the GuitarWorld artists created. It took me less than five minutes.

Kenny wrote:Why do you waste so much time and energy...

You're the one with over 5,000 posts dude. You obviously waste a whole lot more time here than I do.

Maybe you're just having problems facing the reality that Eddie Van Halen is washed up and wasted? Did you pay $140.00 a ticket to see him sabotage the 2004 Van Halen tour in a drunken frenzy like I did? You'll see after (or during) the upcoming 2007 Van Halen tour that what is being said on these forums is true. I doubt very much that Eddie makes it through the tour without self-destructing. If he does, I'll stop being sarcastic of him. If he doesn't, don't say I didn't tell you so.

Anyway, don't you know that forums like these are full of people taking sarcastic shots at celebrities who have run amuck? Go take a look at the Michael Jackson and Britney Spears forums. Maybe you can try to stop those people from slamming Jacko and Britney for their foolish actions while you're at it? Did you think it was evil when people were photo-chopping pictures of Michael Jackson after he self-destructed? Here's something that you can never change: If you're a celebrity doing crazy, whacked-out shit in the public eye - you're going to be held up to a lot of scrutiny and sarcasm. It goes with the turf man. However, there were a lot of Jacko fans who came unglued in his defense, just like you are doing for Eddie. Some people idolize a celebrity so much that they simply cannot see them do any wrong in their eyes.

Of course I can 'comprehend' the man has flaws, as we all do....I just feel there is no need to state and re-state and re-state your opinion!!

If you think Edwards' a drunken moron who can't play anymore, fine!! People don't need to hear it in almost every fucking post!!

And Voyager, dude? 5000 posts since 2003 isn't exactly an obsession or a waste of time pal. Every single fucking post you make here is though.

I'm just gonna go glue myself back together.....

Voyager, you've made over 300 posts in about 6 months. At that rate you'll have made well over 15,000 posts by the time you've been part of the message boards as long as Kenny!

But yet you continue to read them. I could just as easily say the same about yours, but I won't. As far as wasting time goes, we are all wasting our time by being on this forum. Wasting time is a favorite pastime of human beings. We do it when we watch movies, watch TV, play video games, surf the Internet, going to a ball game, flying a kite, etc.

Let he who has never wasted their time or that of others cast the first stone.

You may want to check your calculator batteries VH101. 300 divided by 6 months = 50 posts per month. 11/02 to 1/07 = 51 months. 51 months x 50 posts per month = 2550 posts.

Anyway, the focus was wasting time. As I said in the above post, we are all wasting our time by being here - but we obviously enjoy it, or we wouldn't be here.

It's all good. The way I see it is this, "Take what you need and leave the rest." If posts by certain members bother you, just ignore them. There are plenty of others to read.

Kenny wrote:"The smell of sulfur (from hell) still lingers in this place after President George W. Bush spoke at this podium yesterday, the 19th of September."

Just one more comment Kenny. Based on your signature, you obviously dislike George W. Bush, and I agree with you on that subject. I see no problem with you posting your dislike of him in the signature of all your posts - because he is doing a lot of shit that is worthy of criticism. However, you seem to see a problem with me posting my dislike of Eddie Van Halen's behavior. Are we dealing with a double standard here? Is it okay for you to bash Bush in all of your posts, but not okay for me to be sarcastic of EVH? If Bush was my idol, I might take issue with your bashing of him - but he's not.

Therefore, I say it's okay to bash Bush and EVH - as long as they are doing things worthy of being bashed for. Once they start doing things that are worthy of praise, then we can praise them. Agreed?

P.S. - If you want to see me praising a band that is doing something worthy of praise, check out my posts on the Journey Forum.

Eddie Van Halen has lost his mind. From claiming to have cured his cancer to his unsolicited blasting of Neal Schon to the canning of Michael Anthony, he's proven that he's not in touch with reality. I just don't see him making it through this upcoming tour. Putting his son on the road at that age isn't the brightest of ideas either. He can't take care of himself so I don't see how he's going to be able to look after his son too. Should be interesting. And to think he canned MA for a KID who's been playing bass for a VERY short period of time.

Agree Edward's eccentric but what was the unsolicited blasting of Neal?

I know Soul SirkUs got nixed as a opening act for VH in 04 but there was never an official Ed comment on that.

Can't remember the exact scenario but I do remember Neal's retort being something along the lines of: "Eddie really needs help, man."

What a great combo: The 2007 Van Halen Circus / Soul Sirkus Tour

How appropriate! My guess is that Soul Sirkus would end up having to finish out the second half of the tour solo after the imminent Van Halen trainwreck occurs. Maybe Neal and JSS could then call in The Atomic Punks to open for them for the remainder of the tour to keep the Van Halen fans from being too disappointed?

I was going to say you just earned a heap of my respect....but really, you already had it.

We have had 'words' in the past but I believe you are a different person from someone who just keeps pumping out negative post after negative post. If you don't like the band, don't come to their forum - not a difficult concept in my view. Difficult for some, though.

Kenny - If Eddie and Company are adult enough to give the fans their money's worth on this tour, I will be first in line to praise him. Until that happens, the memories of 2004 still linger. As it is your right to praise him for whatever reason, it is my right to comment on his bad behavior. Not that it matters, but I am a veteran of 37 Van Halen concerts over the years. Remembering how awesome these concerts were (with the exception of 2004), I do find it disturbing that one person could be responsible for the ruination of this band.
