They won't do it. Andrew's already made that clear here. So what are they going to do? Re-hash Infinity/Evolution-era song styles as JSS has recently hinted?

*YAWN*

Didn't we spend the last 8 years trying to live in the past? Good luck to them. I don't trust that they know what they're doing - particularly considering what's transpired over the last 8 years - BUT I do wish them well.

Did anyone let Tapegate go? No. And the people who've claimed to have let it go continue to bring it up at every turn. Why? Because it's what defines them.

I don't need to let anything go because it's nothing that I'm holding onto - it doesn't define me.

So the people who bring up tapegate at every turn are defined by that , but you who bring up the latin rhythms cd at every turn and have been holding on to this forever are not defined by it---sorry,but that seems to defy any sense of logic.

I think the management of the band has been TERRIBLE over the past few years. After Arrival, Journey seemed like a rudderless ship to me. Summer tours and new recordings that sounded like they were put on tape in my garage on a 16 track Boss recorder. Team Azoff provided very passive management at best, IMO. The band brings in JSS and Azoff finally perks up enough to eventually come watch them. Sorry, but I have no faith in Irving Azoff and his partners. I hope they will prove me wrong and make me a believer.

In about 20 months or so when Jeff decides to leave the Memorix Boyz a Hammer fronted Journey will lead the Boyz back to fame with the cross over hip hop fusion metal bongo inspired remake of the Tony Orlando classic Tie A Yellow Ribbon!

But by then Irving will have his hands in one of the biggest tours of the summer.

Tall Stories opens the show. They now are known everywhere in the US because of Irvings brilliant idea of giving away their new CD with each 30 dollar or more purchase at The Gap.

Following the newly revived Stories, will be JSS new band Soto Fountain. Jeffs new band also includes the hard drumming Deen Castronova. Jeff and Deen decided to leave their past flatlining band when it was discovered that Steve Perrys voice was actually somehow mixed in the backing vocals of 6 songs on their last european tour.

Headlining for the each and every night will be none other than Steve Perry. The demise of Steve's voice was HIGHLY exaggerated, as evidenced by his current CD which has sat in the top 50 for over 15 weeks.

I’m a defiant little bastard aren’t I?

You speak as if Latin rhythms are the only thing I bring to the discussion. The evidence throughout this forum, BT, and anywhere else states otherwise. Even my own Dream JOURNEY Project site is associated with my JOURNEY PARAGON idea which has absolutely nothing to do with Latin rhythms. Furthermore, I’ve stated that it’s not so much Latin rhythms – it’s doing something DIFFERENT than what they’ve ever done – to bring the JOURNEY sound to a musical style beyond the thunder of their PAST.

If you think that Latin rhythms define me then all I can say is that you’ve not heard me.

I would argue that the people who carry on the Tapegate crusade bring little else to the discussion. It’s tiresome to see intriguing and intelligent discussions constantly get detoured down Tapegate avenue.

Check out this timeline and tell me it ain't scary...

Approx. first week of June - 2nd Little Daughter is born.
Approx. first week of July - Move into new home that is being built.
Somewhere between July 24 and August 4 - I go back to Iraq until about the
second week of January 2008...

It's gonna be a beautiful and hellish Summer all at the same time :)

And BTW, I haven't kicked your ass...
NOTHING will detract you from your crusade :)

That's a pretty scary schedule. At the same time it's pretty awesome. Another daughter - pure joy. A new home built from the ground up - one of the American dreams. Kicking butt in Iraq - taking care of business on a scale that's beyond any immediate powers of the mind to recognize.

Here's to getting yourself back in one piece so you can watch your daughters grow up in a world that you've helped make better for them and everyone.

This is just a rumor, but I heard that before Journey signed JSS to become their lead singer Irving Azoff tried to lure Justin Timberlake over to the Journey camp.

Negotiations stalled over the bands name. Neal insisted on keeping the name Journey, while Irving and Justin wanted the band to be called Lip Sync.
