With respect to Faded Memories, the fact of the matter is that this poster could have easily said the same exact stuff here...and he would have been dealt with much the same way...and in similar time frames. I can't imagine Andrew tolerating such posts any longer than us...so the topic of this poster and what he said is about as MOOT a point as you can get.

I can guarantee you Andrew would have deleted that/those posts on discovery. The user would have been banned. When Frank first came here and wrote some negative things about BT, certain people held him up as some kinda hero. Now that this forum is also criticized, he gets tossed in the garbage can.

Please try to stay in context here. The "good for the goose..." comment is specifically addressing cross forum discussions of the other forum. NOT with how posters are dealt with (As we all have a right to deal with these issues as we see fit). I was responding to the fact that Andrew found threads where MR.com's forums, as a whole, were criticized. To that SPECIFIC end, I don't feel that I should be stripping people of the ability to discuss MR.com, especially given the fact that TJF, as a whole, is under attack here...and for far longer. It has NOTHING to do with specific posters and how they are dealt with, unless that's what's being discussed. For you to quote 'hypocracy' on a statement of mine you really need to understand what I'm saying...

I am personally attacked in just about every open thread over there.

And had FM or anyone else made such statements ehere, they would have been taken care of (as they were at TJF) but their remarks would also have been completely erased as would any other reference to those remarks. But, that's just how I would do things....no matter what the band or artist.

Regretfully, this remains a very volitile situation and I have decided that any further comment from me about this other forum would be construed as bitching by some and that is not what I desire, so there will be no further comment from me on this.

I also think that this thread has perhaps run it's course - I don't see any further good coming from leaving it open.
