Journey Baltimore, MD 11/06 DVD

Postby Red13JoePa » Thu Feb 01, 2007 7:44 am

I'd like a thread devoted to discussing this performance captured very well on DVD.

LOVE this show... band clearly tightening up in JSS mode.

One point Ross and Jeff catch the filmer and Ross points him out and they mug a little for the camera.

Classic.

How is that possible? I sent one to Dean.

One point Ross and Jeff catch the filmer and Ross points him out and they mug a little for the camera

The actual filmer shot it from the middle concourse all the way in the back of the arena. They guys were probably just mugging for a cell phone camera or something.

Weird.
It looked like Ross had the guy dead to rights pointed into the camera alerted Jeff and they laughed.

Whatever, you were right that dude shoots a great boot.

How about Jeff's Perryism (homage? coincidence?) mirroring the "WAAAoooWoooooooooooWooaaa!" at the beginning of I'll Be Alright? the same one perry did on the GH DVD and the Time3 live track.

Phenomenal.

I was there too! Loved the show! They came such a long way from Tampa in July! (which was still awesome, but I think it was JSS's 3rd concert with Journey!) We were lucky enough to be right up front in the center! Loved every second, the energy was just incredible :D

Can't because the less people that know we bootleg them, the better.
I mean hell, you can't have the band finding out. :)

Love Love Love this DVD. Even if I hadn't been on board with Jeff before I would have been after seeing it. The man just captivates you with his performance. Anyone who doesn't see what he's bringing to Journey just doesn't want to.

I have Omaha as well. It's very good, but shot on the side from a distance. The audio isn't as good as Baltimore. However, that said, Omaha is a very nice, plus it is the full show as you said.

Get both.

Also some of you may want to check out the "naked chick puking thread" I just reposted a clip from Baltimore in there. (No there is no naked chick either)

I'll admit I snickered when Deeno whined to 'Drew about Augeri making him feel like he was stationed at an Arctic outpost up there on the riser but it was pretty damn cool When JSS went up there during Keep On Running and they eachother's busted ballz...

Jeff distracted the hell out of DC (on purpose) and he kept the fast beat down TIGHT, even got in a "WHOA OOOOHHH OH" harmony in that Castronovo voice....

amazing stuff and a kick ass lead vocal again by JSS.

My favorite is STILL Chain Reaction, though. The way he sings that is filthy.

Omaha is a very good show as well. I love JSS' Stone In Love, so I'm glad the whole show is on the Omaha DVD. I've been looking for Leppard's set from Omaha for quite some time. Anybody have that and want to set up a trade?

Yes. His SINGING of Journey is what we need to roll on.

It's different, while at the same time being the same.
A Nearly impossible feat to pull off and we've landed the one guy who can do that.
