Although he didn't have the benefit of outstanding Journey musicianship backing him, he nonetheless blows ANY ballad Augeri did with Journey out of the water. THAT is a good song. And the video is a travel back in time to some of the greatest moments in AOR. Simply a great video.

This band kills me with their stupidity and stubborness.....there is obviously love and respect between them and they miss each other.......but all partys have let their pride, their egos, and their need to be right stand in their way at a reconsiliation with their "brothers".........really sad that they cant let their ego's go and speak to each other again.....even if they dont get back together as a band.....they were friends first and foremost......to hold on to disagreements and misunderstandings for all these years and let that destroy the love and friendship they had between them is unfortunite.....a wound that has been allowed to fester when they could have put a bandaid on it along time ago......hopefully they will allow the wounds to heal and not live the rest of their lives with regrets and pain from those lost relationships and not leave this world with regrets of what should have been done and what might have been.

For the life of me, I just can't understand how people don't like ROR. That said, I'd bet each and every one of them owns the fucking thing. It's just a different type of album. Chill on the couch with your significant other and it's perfect. Just a darn good album. Great song....I listen to it often,.

...I hope your right and that they will "perform" together again someday.....even if it isnt in public......just letting things go and come back together as people......friends that love and care for each other....and not from a distance like they do now. Wish they had taken up gardening....they would have learned that relationships need constant attention and need to be nurtured and fed with love, time,... a little pampering, praise and support,...... a little care.........for it to blossom and grow with the strength and beauty of a garden.
....if neglected and left unattended for long enough the garden will wither and eventually die.

That's what Sade is for, not Journey. That's why I don't like ROR.

moon bug, i know what you mean, i really like ROR ,, sometimes its my favorite of theirs,, but it has to be at the right time ,, it is a strange kinda album with a couple of great rockers,, as far as NIG goes, have you ever noticed that he doesnt like this album nor bad english .. yet he is really into chick rock.. not iron maiden or priest like you would think.. j/k bubby,,

I liken that comment to sentiments felt by hardcore fans of the band's first 3 albums as it relates to the change in sound when Perry hopped aboard. Not EVERY album has to be a "rocker." Just like every album didn't have to be "fusion." ROR was an album that more closely tied in to the musical landscape at the time. In the end, it's just a matter of personal opinion.
