....who actually likes Neal and Jon's singing voices?

They have a nice, mellow quality to them. I think Neal's voice is awesome especially on the Schon/Hammer records, like on "No More Lies."

Jon's background vocals are kickin', and he can totally do the whole Gregg Rolie thing live.

I think everyone's just all spoiled by Perry and can't really see that most of the rest of the band have had good voices in their own right.

Well.... then there's Ross. .... I love Ross. :)

No, their voices are ok, but when you compare them to Perry, Soto, Augeri, and even Rolie, they don't hold up.
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

I've always liked Neal's singing voice. Soothing and calm. Doesn't try to oversing his abilities. Jon singing lead I can do without.

Well, back to the topic, I don't like Neal's or Jon's voices on anything but background vocals. Jon is better than Neal, but just marginally.
