Disconnected was a song originally recorded
by another band from Buffalo, The Enemies
And Slave Girl was originally recorded in 1985 by
a band from Sydney, Australia called Lime Spiders

I've never heard the originals.

Hey Drew, you ever listen to LIME SPIDERS back
in the 80s??? :)

Nice to know. It took me awhile to actually figure out that they didn't write those. Another cover they have that is good is "Million Miles Away" on the Hold Me Up album.

Goo Goo Dolls Interview

Postby SunshineTwilight » Wed Feb 07, 2007 2:10 pm

The QVC show that aired tonight with the Goo Goo Dolls was actually live from a club in Washington, DC called the 9:30 Club. Our local news just aired an interview with the Goo's that was done right before the show.

Yea, in the 90s a local FM station in Va played the original Plimsouls version
alot and I hated it.

But don't forget that classic Prince cover on Hold Me Up either

That's a really great album too.
Kevin's Song, 2 Days in Feb, Just the Way You Are, Laughing...
They were basically still a Garage band back them!

God, I remember going to see them in the early 90's at
The Boathouse in Norfolk, Va.
They were supporting SuperStar.
I swear, there were only about 100 people there!
"We Are The Normal" was getting decent airplay locally
but no one really knew of them.
Me, I was STOKED!
Up-front against the stage all night!

Then Name became HUGE and the next time I saw
them, they were stuck in the middle of No Doubt and Bush.
Another Great show, all 3 bands :D

Wasn't that the "Gavin/Gwen Bangin' On The Buses" tour?
