Hello one and all --
I'll start with apologies for the multi-blast, but wanted to make sure I didn't forget anyone! After thinking about it, futzing with it, and digging around in the dark recesses of my computer I have finally compiled ALL of the Rockin' Road Reports I've ever sent out and put them all on ONE site. Amazingly enough, not only do I have all of the posts that were offically dubbed "Rockin' Road Reports", but I also found my thoughts on all but FOUR of the Journey shows I've attended since October 1998. (I'm still looking -- realized I still had my ancient laptop stashed in the closet. It may be running on Win95 and software versions so old I don't remember how to use them, but I've discovered some really amazing old stuff.) In any case, I'm not 100% sure why I actually saved all those files other than it's in my nature to be a pack rat. (And if there are any other pack rats out there -- I'm looking for the Journey Digest and/or Perry List archives from December 1998 to see if I can complete my list -- I mean having 60 out of 64 shows just doesn't feel right! LOL! Dan????)
So if you want to check it out and have your memory prodded about Journeyfest in 1999 (the lonely guys takin' the 90...) or the recording of the 2001 DVD or the opening of the Arrival tour or the Hollywood WOF (holy mother of god...) or just need a set list you can visit http://www.rockinroadreport.com and read up.
It's been an interesting trip down memory lane for me -- met lots of you, had lots of experiences I never imagined, visited places I NEVER thought I'd go (Tunica, Mississippi still reigns as the winner in that category), and enjoyed many many nights of music and friends. I also noticed, oddly enough, that my focus tends to the feel of the show and the whole having a good time rather than the quality of the show. I *know* some of these shows were better than others, but damn, I had a pretty great time at all of them. In the end, that's the whole point of going to a concert isn't it?
(Decided to make my first visit back here in at least 3 months in case any of the regulars here are interested, do what you will...)
