OT: Anna Nicole Smith pronounced dead

Postby conversationpc » Fri Feb 09, 2007 6:40 am

ABC News is reporting that Anna Nicole Smith collapsed in a south Florida hotel and has been pronounced dead. I've always thought she was a train wreck but it's still rather sad. :(

Wow, what a trainwreck. She just lost one child after giving birth to her second.

Well, the good news is that the guy who insists he is the father seems like a good person. If he is the dad and gets custody, I think the baby will be ok.

A pitiful end to a pitiful life. As sad as it is, and as cruel as it may seem for me to say it, the child may have a better chance for some kind of normal life.

I agree, but what a sad, tortured life. Hopefully Larry Birkhead is the father because he does seem like a decent person. Howard K. Stern just looks creepy to me.

It is sad, no matter how messed up she was, esp. with a tiny baby who will now never know her mother.

I would bet it is drug related or from complications arising from prolonged drug use , a very sad soul she was, its a shame she was constantly on tv and obviously had an addiction problem, yet know one could/ did get her the help she needed.

Howard K. Stern is a lowlife, lovesick leach who saw big dollar signs with ANS.

I'd bet the farm (if I had one) that there is NO WAY he is the father. If he was, they wouldnt have had a problem with taking a paternity test. I don't even bElieve they had a sexual relationship. It's all a scam.

For the baby's sake I hope that Birkhead is proven to be the father.

They were too busy taking advantage of her weaknesses for their own purposes to try and help her. It reminds me a little bit of the tragedy of Marilyn Monroe's life and death.

You cant live that lifestyle and expect to live long. She was a morally bankrupt individual, probably took too many pills by accident, and her heart gave out. That baby will be wealthy if the father takes good care of her. I'm hoping the real father is the blond guy. Hes not a sleaze and maybe really cared.

She messed up her life pretty bad but seemed to be on the right track before her son died. She had lost weight and didn't seem in a drugged state all the time. Sad it had to end this way.

From a teenage pregnancy, to posing nude for Playboy, to a marriage to a
man
some 60 plus years her senior, to a warped memorial service for that same
man, to a court battle with his son over his estate, to a out of control
woman who clearly needed someone to step in and give her real help, to a
reality tv show that did her no service other than to exploit her pitifully,
to a pregnancy, to her son's death, to a prolonged delay in the reason as to
his death, to a paternity suit about her daughter's parentage.it never
ended. A soap opera that gave people water cooler gossip. Whether you liked
this woman or found her pathetic, it didn't portray the public in a good
light that we all followed, condoned, joked, and coerced the very behavior
that wound up in this woman's death. Certainly she needed to take
responsibility for herself and her actions, but oh boy did we ever egg her
on for our own amusement.all the while condemning her for what we found so
amusing. Pathetic.

That right there shows how much morals you have. You think that the baby being wealthy is the most important thing!? :?
She had a rough life and I dont think you can blame her for all the things (good or bad) that happend to her.
I just think that she finally gets the rest and peace of mind that she truely needs and deserves.

You know B, I may sound like a real asshole when I say this but...
I agree with you that Anna is in a better place and finally at peace.
But I really think that this 'tragedy' will be a "blessing in disguise" for her
newborn child. Wealth aside, this child will now have the opportunity
(hopefully) to grow up in a safe, stable and loving enviroment.
An enviroment much unlike I think would be the case otherwise.
I know that sounds shitty but that's how I feel.
Think of your own children and imagine them growing up
around that kind of lifestyle and irresponsibilty.
Doesn't paint a pretty picture, does it?
So I think I can understand what Catherine was trying to say.

I have to agree with you here. One of the things that is really bugging me is that they have been to the Hardrock in FL several times over the last month or so according to an article I read earlier. 5 month old baby is back in the Bahamas being cared for by some friend of Anna's. Babies don't need wealth, but they sure need stability and the security a loving mother provides. She's obviously a drug addict and can't take care of baby, so I agree that this little girl will be better off. Anna's son only lived to be 20. If not for her wreckless life style, he'd probably still be alive today.

It's sad that she died, and even sadder that people close to her never tried to help her. Howard K Stern seems like the biggest scum bag on the planet who has done nothing but exploit this woman's weaknesses.
