I don't understand even being a Journey fan if you want them to be a latin band. Why not go be a fan of a latin band?

Personally I think it's a GREAT idea - one they should definitely pursue as soon as they've finished recording their cover album of The Captain & Tennille's Greatest Hits!!

Generations followed by Tapegate had to be two of the dumbest moves ever for a band of Journey's stature. Follow those two unforgivable flubs with a Latino CD and its ALLLLLLLLL OVER for the band once called Journey.

Maybe they can get Shakeira or however the hell you spell it to sing a few tracks ala Generations when they let bus drivers and and chefs sing.

Atta boy. I hope part of your package is the World's Best Kept Secret (Talisman dvd set). Tons of concert footage on those and a great Talisman retrospective. :D

I'm going to do a 180 and admit that Ive been wrong.

Ive been thinking...... and with the right sambraros on the CD cover it just might work.

Add to this a remake of the hit Rico Suave and I do believe that the band could be on the fast track once again!!

Bingo! :)
You're not fully Talismanized if you havent seen the Talisman DVD. Thats almost half the process.

I respect where Fyre is coming from here, but I think if Journey released a Latin album, they wouldn't be Journey anymore...they'd be Santana. It's just not what their sound is (other than La Raza).

Larry, I too, have been Talismanized, I think, although I've never seen the DVD. I hope you hear some great stuff!

Another idea may be after they hit the big time again with their Latino CD they could follw this up with a CD of Glen Campbell covers.

This is a goldmine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No one has really covered Glen.

I would probably have Ross do most of the Campbell tunes as he seems the best fit.

Finally, and I wouldnt want to oversaturate the market but you could follow up these two classics with a Swing type CD.

Shi t, after this Steve Perry will beg Neal to get back in!!!!!!

SUNG TO "MYSTERIOUS WAYS" BY U2

Stevie, take a walk. Get the hell off my stage
Let your pale ass wiggle on, we're turning the page
You've been living off of Tape, eating from my hand
You've been running away from what you don't understand
"Sing LIVE"

Jeffey's slammin', you're sliding down
He'll be here when the lights go down...

It's alright, it's alright, it's alright
Neal works in mysterious ways
It's alright, it's alright, it's alright
Neal works in mysterious ways

Perry, kiss my ass with your shnoz and them tails
Re-issue all you want, your career has failed
'Your hip never healed', Come on man, get real
If you want to kiss my ass, better learn how to kneel
"On your knees, Bitch"

Jeffey's slammin', you're sliding down
He'll be here when the lights go down...

It's alright, it's alright, it's alright

 The suggestion is NOT to be a Latin band. The suggestion has ALWAYS been:

TO BRING THE JOURNEY SOUND TO LATIN RHYTHMS.
