Florida Update

Postby stingthebeerdrinker » Sat Feb 10, 2007 12:06 pm

Just got a call from AR. Journey are doing Lights right now. No Beer allowed in the venue so they are outside taking a break Opening song was Message of Love. Other than Rubicon no surprises yet. 75 Degree weather and I'm sitting in Baltimore in 20 degree weather getting sick as a dog. Trying to get myself together to join Nig and a few others at Frontiers.

Oh, man. I love Rubicon! Gets overlooked sometimes because of all the other gems on Frontiers. Lucky Florida people!

It drives me crazy that I can't be there!

Just got back to the Hampton. One word....AWESOME!!!!.....well 2 words.....FREAKIN' AWESOME!!!.....they did Every Generation too. The band sounded fantastic tonight!.....Neal was amazing.....and the guys were really having a great time up there......Ross and Jeff were extremely playful with each other.( Jeff even spanked Ross at one point! )....Ross squirted the audience tons of times. ......Neal even came over once and used Ross's squirter!..Jon had a big grin on his face.......Deen sounded fantastic......and Jeff... well ... he was GREAT!......very energetic....his shirt was soaked by the end.....and his vocals were superb. Neal was so happy he went along the front and shook hands with people before leaving the stage. This was Jeffs first official show since he was made lead singer......anyway...more later....or I'm sure some more people will be checking in and giving more details. Dont know where everyone went after the show...havent spotted any MR peeps yet.....but if ya'll get in I've got plenty of booze stocked! ......Got to love this band!!! :D 8)

I guess Def Leppard is on now. Just kidding but the setlist minus 3 songs and some solos is no different than this past summer. Granted its a warmup but I thought they were doing 2 hrs plus. Generations - WHY??????????

Right from this board. Heard JSS may play some Fraudgeri songs. Not being critical just heard they were doing some different stuff as oppossed to their 75 min. support slot.

Even after everything that happened since tapegate I still think Arrival is a great cd and would love to hear most songs from it but would kill to hear JSS sing remember me. As far as Generations I just can't get into it. It's just mastered awful. Like a few songs thru my ipod but when I play them thru a Bose system it just lacks. Got a free copy at a Generations show and repurchased it to see if the quality would be better. I'm probabaly just being an audio snob since most of my new purchases have been the re masters.

I always appeciate when I get something for free but I iust found something wrong with that giveaway considering between me and my girlfriend seeing the lyped performance in a nightclub payed $200 for 2 tix. Not that I'm a fan of Bruce Hornsby in anyway but for a $50 ticket you got the concert and a 4 cd/dvd boxset at the door.

You're right about the UK as they are having a support act this time round which they didn't last year when they played 2 1/2 hours. I wonder if knowing what these marathon shows did to Augeri's voice they've decided to cut the time down.

was expecting a few more album cuts on the set list, JSS said in another thread they were working on Remember Me. Maybe we will get a few different tunes tonight !
