So far, all live... 8)

Justin Timberlake - trading in his crazy dance choreography - for a PIANO??

He's actually playing and singing.

Hmmm....points earned back for Mr. T....

I wasn't the least bit impressed with JT's performance.(We switched to the Grammys as soon as the Allison Krauss DVD was over.) The kid used to have a voice. If he still does why doesn't he use it instead of burying it in hoopla?

John Mayer just showed that there are still some good rock guitarists around. His vocals left something to be desired though.

John Mayer plays some great guitar. Tends to not overplay and just picks the right notes. I believe our own Neal Schon mentioned in an interview that John Mayer was one of the few great new talents out there in a landscape full of crap.

your leading the band because the audience shows to hear and see the singer,, and usually the singer writes all the material and has the most talent, so if your happy with that superficial status then go right ahead... ......if you let the guitar player play a solo in your song, then hes happy!! but will fight for more attention.. ie.. strange faces.. and funny poses during solo.... OR walking and standing infront of the singer.. thats a classic..

Sorry Larry, to each his own but I like his feel. Nice vibrato and uses dynamics well. Some don't know how to play with dynamics and only play loud or one volume.

You may not belistening to the right John Mayer songs. He can hit one note and make it sound so awesome! Neal goes so fast and John is just the opposite yet they both sound amazing.
