I cannot believe how freaking awesome Open the Door sounds. I never thought I'd hear that tune execpt on a Perry boot. Jeff freaking nailed it and Neal, rock dog, guitar god, freaking slammed on that tune. Thanks for sharing!

I know the band dusted it off in '04, as well.
Wonder how Jeff fares on it...must download this.

Also, playing "Rubicon" sooo early in the set is either a stroke of inpired set-list strategy, or a sign the band has finally ceased pandering to the beer-line flocking capricious masses.
I think it's a great sign.
More obscure deep cuts please.

Yes....JSS said this type of thing would happen and so it is.

His vocal on that WWY? boot is actually like Holy Shit level jaw-dropping.

I hear ya Tree, on both counts. There's nothing sexy about JT and he wastes his singing talent trying to be hip hop sexy. Give me Jeff's looks and full throttle vocals any day. Oh, and I like John Mayer too. :)

I'm not big on boots, mainly because of the usual lack of overall quality. However, I gotta say I really enjoyed "Opened the Door" here. Thanks for posting!

Oh...my...God! Joe - thank you soooo much for capturing these - Opened the Door was absolutely FANTABULISTIC (yes, that's a word in my vocabulary). Unbelievable.....this just made my Sunday evening.

Jeff - I know you've played a huge part in encouraging these classics to be played live again; this was just incredible, blew me away.....

Hmmm...still haven't made the leap to tuning down 1/2 step for the sake of Jeff's vocal health. I figured the time off would give them a chance to do that (and record new backing vocal tapes  )

Still, sounds great...wish they were doing someplace other than Florida...

Well, I am a friend of both and I did the best I could. Glad they turnrd out as well as they did. Just a digital camera, no fancy equipment. As far as Rubicon I will try to get it tomorrow night. Security is pretty tight at House of Blues, but I am gonna try. Can't promise Winds of March but if they do it. I'll get it. Thanks for all the support of this effort. Batteries are charged and the disk is empty.

Great videos, WWY is one of my fav songs. Glad they did it again !! Open The Door was AWESOME ! My wife never heard the song before ( shes a causal fan and gets too go too all the shows with me ). Hse said it was a great song and JSS was the best of the 3 times we have seen hin in the last 7 months !!. A incredible show ! Wish I had more time to talk to DCVader, Deano and too say hello to AR. BY the he time I ran into the guys, it was close too show time and I needed to beer up, so I didn't have too run during the show! DC and Deano good to put a face to the name ! Work was a bit rough Sunday morning, but well worth it .

I keep looking at these and listening....

Is it me or is this guy actually sounding even better now after 3 months off???

Most of us paying attention and going to shows and aquiring the recordings realized from the completion of the DL tour that he was already THE guy for the job and aquitting himself excellently but this guy sounds a force to reconed with now.

Normally I'll hear a show and get all excited and he'll post something like, "I had a DECENT night but wasn't feeling great" so I never know?
These new ones are unbelievable.
