It was posted on Jeff's site on Feb. 17, but it appears to have been known since Nov. on BT...interesting. Wonder why it's so secretive? Seems like a pretty big deal if you ask me...

How much money do you think we
would have to raise to bribe Jeff into
teaching the guys
"Swallow That Load" for this event?

I respectfully ask this question.

What is the big deal? A powerless figurehead will be in attendance. So what? You know she has no idea who Journey is and will NOT enjoy any of the songs.....

I am sickened that Journey is playing "for her." I would rather play a show for Bush.

Wait.

No I wouldn't. Forget I said that.

Remember that the "uppercrust" of our society partakes in Polo. How many of them would know who Journey is? :?

The fact that they, Journey, the band we particularly love & want to get publicity, is being asked to perform where the most well-known member of royalty is going to be...well, that seems impressive to me, even if I am not into the monarchy stuff. It's kinda like the artists who get knighted by her, (Sir Paul, Sir Elton,...) it doesn't mean anything & yet it does. Btw, I'm not knocking any monarchy, I know a lot of people find a certain security & have respect in the tradition.

Understood SB....You don't have to knock it, I will. It sucks.

However, they (UK), really don't have a monarchy, or a serious one if you will. She (Queenie), is powerless. Tony Blair makes all the decisions (follows W), and his mistakes, and therefore she (Queenie) is a yellow toothed old hag who can't wipe her own ass. God I am going to be sick being in the same acreage as her slimy ass....in fact, I'm sick now just thinking about her and that Goddamned country and all those brown toothed, shit breathed smelly Euro trash bastards, Goddammit!

It's early, I've not had breakfast yet so I may still be half asleep but I've read the article through twice and I still can't see where it says that Journey will be playing for the Queen? What am I overlooking? All I can see about the Queen is that they'll be playing the National Anthem, not that she will be in attendance.

Someone help this puzzled Euro?

I think you are right Joy, she's just coming to celebrate Jamestown's birthday and to watch the polo matches. Seriously doubt she's sticking around for the music. The FBI has a 10,000 acre training facility near there as well and she's probably getting a little tour of that on the side and then going on up to the White House for a tea.

Hey there, maybe this article will clarify it for you. :D

This article says they are playing the National Anthem and doing a concert later.

Here's what appears on the website.

Thanks SF - that sounds more likely. She's about 82 now so I don't honestly think it'd be her "cup of tea"!!

And Deano and Macca, as a Royalist I don't appreciate your boorish comments about her. I thought the new, flowery hat-wearing Deano was going to be filled with love, light and respect. These admirable new sentiments obviously don't extend to this side of the pond
