DETROIT RADIO.....

Local radio station and apparently DLR said he won't put ink on anything unless Mikey is on board as well. When a spokes person from the DLR camp was asked about the "New VH" photo he replied, "Rollingstone magazine paid for the shoot and story. The members were approached by them. At the time Mr. Roth thought there was still room for discussion concerning Mr. Anthony returning to the fold. We now feel that is no longer a working possibility."

Now there is also talk that VH might not perform at RRHoF. Apparently DLR said Mikey had just as much to do with their legacy and success and he wants no part of it if it is not done with ALL of the founding members.

If that's true, which I am skeptical, than DLR just went up 10 notches in my book.

13, is DLR your new hero?

From the Van Halen News Desk:

Melodicrock & the VHND address the Tour Postponement Rumors
February 21st, 2007

A new rumor has been circulating that says the Van Halen tour has been "indefinitely postponed". But don't worry - the tour will very likely still happen this summer.

Melodicrock.com issued a Van Halen update in response to the rumors yesterday, saying in part:

"I am told that this postponement should be just that - a temporary situation that can be sorted so that the dates that had been arranged can be re-booked and announced down the track somewhat. The band is unlikely to comment beyond the fact the tour will (at this stage) start later than originally planned. The line-up for this tour remains Eddie, Wolfgang & Alex Van Halen and frontman David Lee Roth."

Also, the VHND's own sources are telling us not to worry and that the tour is indeed going to happen. We know that the date that the tickets were to go on sale has been pushed back from late February to sometime in March. We are hoping that the main reason for this delay is to coincide the official announcement of tour dates with Van Halen's March 12th induction to the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.

Another rumor we want to address - we are surprised to see that some websites are saying that Van Halen is currently being managed by Eddie's girlfriend (Janie Liszewski/High Profile Media). While it is true that Eddie's girlfriend is the band's publicist, the band's manager for the last three years is Irving Azoff.

If this is true, I am looking at Dave in a whole new light. Also, I would imagine Eddie and Alex are chomping bullets if this is a fact. Integrity is a wonderful thing, Dave. You won't be sorry for holding your ground.

Just an afterthought. If Michael Anthony is signed on as part of this tour, he deserves to get his full share of the pie, not the sliver he had to settle for in 2004. If that isn't acceptable to Ed and Alex, then I hope Mikey lets them know exactly what they can do with their tour!

Thanks, Andrew - really didn't think so. Just one of many suppositions these days!

So dispite what the front page says today, that the reason is an outcry to get Mikey in, that it still WON'T happen at least not w/ MA?

Life is too short to worry about this horseshit. I don't care anymore. Thanks Eddie for killing off what's left of your fan base. All you wanted was the group photo anyway. Well, you got that. You've teased the media and the fans before bailing out yet again. Michael is better off anyway. At least he wants to continue his profession instead of lying around getting drunk living on past glory. Thanks for sparing him from this bullshit. Hell, your son's most likely what you were 25-30 years ago. But you're obviously keeping that from the public too. We may never know how good he is. I just hope he doesn't end up a washed up psycho drunk like his father. Ed, if you were as smart as you were talented you'd realize VH is in the unique position of having the industry by the tail instead of the other way around. What a shame. Get help for God's sake.

I think we will hear Wolfie play either with Van Halen, a Eddie Van halen solo album or his own band. Eddie has been saying that Wolfie is the future of VH.
