Yes.

Oakland Raiders, then LA Raiders, then back to Jokeland.

Awful franchise.

Dude, you just proved that you don't know jack shit about football. Sure the Raiders have been bad for the past 4 years. They are still one of the top teams in any sport as far as winning percentage since Al took over in '63. I've been a Raider fan since 76 and there has been a heck of alot more up time than down time. Just because your dumb ass hates them doesn't make them an "awful franchise". Don't make me have to break out my Lester Hayes av :D

I don't know jack shit about football? Or are you just myopic when it comes the Raiders?

Here are the numbers.

Last Ten years-

68 wins, 92 losses
3 winning seasons in 10 years.
Impressive.

"Well, 10 years is NOT a true indication of the overall status of the organization."

Ok, let's look at 20 years then.

150wins -170 losses.
7 winning seasons in 20 years.
Damn that's good.

Let me guess, 20 years is not a true indication of the value of the Raiders?

I would say Game, set, match.

But you're in agreement they're currently the worst team...so that's that for now. Oakland are game for a bashing then...back to the storyboard!! Perhaps you want that kid in Nigs posts playing for you, imagine him running up the field for Oakland, those hands would knock anyone in close proximity clean out

I say the pathetic franchises in the league are 1. the Detroit Lions...2. the Arizona Cardinals 3. Cincinatti Bengals 4. New Orleans Saints. The Raiders did beat the Arizona Cardinals pretty easily this past season. The Cards are the worst!

You conveniently omit the fact that I wrote "since Al took over the team in '63" Al is the franchise as long as he's still kicking. Look up those #'s bitch. I know 3 S.B. trophies in 5 appearances under Al's watch. Don't come around with half truths and shit. You can't look at on part of an organization while excluding another. You're the one that is intentionally myopic. We don't even know who your NFL team is. I bet the Raiders record over the last 20 years still blows away your Canucks in the same period. By the way how many organizations can claim at least 3 S.B trophies?????? How many have fewer????? How many Cups have the Canucks captured in the last 20 years????? How about the last 40 years???How about since they pulled the cup out of the fuckin fire????? Too bad I have to compare NFL to NHL. But I'm sure you'll reply, Last season my fav was the colts. before that is was the steelers. befor that...etc.

I agree with the first two, but the Bengals have been to two Super Bowls, and won their division in 2005. And the Saints seem to have finally turned the corner. But the Lions and Cards are dismal.

True, I forgot about the Bengals 2 S.B. appearances. They would have beat the 49ers in the rematch if it wasn't for friggin Montana. I'll have to revise. The Saints can't be taken out of that category for just one playoff season, which they were quickly dispatched. Good point though.

Ok, my turn.

Al Davis sucks, period. Dude has lost her way. A tired, old wrinkly woman wearing a fucking milkmaid uniform and chain glasses is not nmy idea of strong.

Ok, first off, comparing the NFL to the NHL is a bit retarded. That's like comparing shoelaces to condoms.

The NHL's Stanley Cup is the single hardest trophy to win in all of sports. 4 seven game series is a lot tougher than 3 or 4 playoff games.

I will give the Raiders props on rings. No one can take those away...however, when was the last time they won one? Super Bowl 18 XVIII in 1983 against the Eagles.....SINCE then San Francisco has won 4 times and so has Dallas. I do commend you on at least showing up against Tampa Bay...that was the easiest thousand bucks I ever pocketed thank you.

So in a nutshell, like I have posted already, Oakland is competitive 3 seasons out of every 10. Ok, I will put you in the class with Detroit and Arizona. Feel better.

 Okay, you forgot the walker he's using now too. I agree the only success he's had recently in when he surrendered alot of control to Gruden. He needs to let others run the team.

I appologized for that in my initial post, but seeing how you won't come out of the closet w/ an NFL team. I had to do it

Maybe the gayest excuse you've ever written. Yet every year an NHL franchise manages to win it. The Canucks have a 1 in 30 shot don't they. Back when I started watching the NHL, it was a 1 in 21 shot. GAY!! Maybe the Canucks should go to the IHL or the UHL. It'll be easier there Deano...GAY!!!!

Wrong again! in 83 we beat the defending champ Washington Redskins!

There are too many quotes to quote without fucking up the original quotes so I won't quote your quote.

Dude, my post was the gayest? Come on? You are denying that the Stanley Cup is NOT the hardest piece of hardware to win in sports? Get on record.

I will come out of the closet (that sure did sound gay didn't it:))and announce my NFL team:
I like the Seahags, but prefer and watch and follow college FB instead. Really, I can't get into the NFL like I can NCAA. It's just too sterile for me. I find myself literally hating teams and rooting against teams like Dallas, Pittsburgh and especially Oakland. Nothing personal to You, or JSS/Stu (Pitts), or shoot em up (DAL). I just hate those teams.

I'm saying the Canucks have a 1 in 30 shot. There are 30 teams right? I lost track in the early '90's. It's even better than that when you consider all the watered down expansion teams. Columbus Blue Jackets. Florida Panthers. They're place holders at the bottom. The NHL has what 16 playoff teams. We've seen 8 seeds knock out 1 seeds. You get in you have a shot.
How many of the NFL's 32 teams. Are there 32? I lost track in the early 90's. How many make the playoffs? 4 div winners and 2 wild cards? 12? I'd say the NFL is more difficult.

No.

There are other variables in place.

In the NFL, you play a schedule that is reflective on last years' record. The Saint's had a shitty season in 05, drafted Bush, used a weak, a very weak non conference schedule, along with that awful shit Southeastern division schedule to get into the NFL playoffs...they had a golden opportunity to go to the SB, and tanked against Chicago.

In the NHL, you draft, and it is usually 2-5 years before you can see your draftee on the ice for the big team. Vancouver, for example, still has Dallas, Colorado, Calgary, Detroit, Nashville, San Jose and the Ducks every year. They don't get to miss Detroit or San Jose some years and they sure as hell aren't going to miss those beasts come playoff time.

What makes the Raiders especially bad, is the fact they had a last place schedule this year and were even worse, clocking in at 2-14. I am just saying, it is a team with NO promise and NO hope.

True, my point isn't the difficulty in making the playoffs, It's the difficulty in winning a championship. Sooner or later the Saints are going to play with the big boys leaving their comfy dome and playing real football. They got smoked, the better team won.

The NHL draft is way more hit and miss than the NFL, but all NHL teams have to deal with the same circumstances, don't they? Does the NHL make it especially hard for Vancouver???

I disagree again. Yes our offense was misserable, the offensive line was horrendous. Especially with Art Shell having Brooks, and Andrew Walter (who when he has time is a very good looking QB) take 7 step drops.
I believe the Defense was in the top 10 in the league. Very impressive when you consider all the short fields the offense gave to the other teams due to turnovers. My Raiders need to trade down in the draft and draft all offense! There is much hope, I think

Hey Strungout. Check out the Aussie Airpass on Qantas. (RT from LAX or SFO + 3 flights within Australia/NZ) It's a great deal. I'm headed there in June.

I'm used to people hating the Cowboys, doesn't offend me. I agree with you on the Raiders though. They're at the very bottom of my list.
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.
