Jimi Jamison news

Postby bomes » Tue Jan 30, 2007 4:21 am

Found this link to an (new?) allstar band

http://www.rpmconcerts.com/

Famous singers with their hits. At first JJ with mostly Survivor stuff and the Baywatch theme.
You can find a short High on you clip and a little bit from the Baywatch one.

Barry Dunaway is in the backup band who played bass on REACH.

It's written "Jimi Jamison formerly of Survivor(R)"...

Barry Dunaway is a "top-notch" professional guy! FS is so controlling and if you don't eat, sleep and breathe FS, then he wants nothing to do with you. He wants everyone to buy into "his ego" . I don't like FS's comments about Barry when everything went down with JJ. It was uncalled for and extremely unprofessional. For the few of us who are in the know, we all see thru FS's motives.

No, dude I was DRIVING on what you were paving and found it damn funny.

They're SELLING a dvd and cd FOR MONEY no less, that has Jamo singing (DDDRRRRUUUUMMMMMRRRROOOOLLLL).......

3 songs. :|

If it had Jimi doing like 5-6 Survivor songs and then Cafferty 4-5 THEN I'd prolly be picking it up.

Cheers, Epps what with the scant few crumbs the Srvr family throws our way, I can see why you'd jump on it.

What compilation's that?

I'll take another live album, for sure but in '04 we had Ultimates, last year was Best Of....

I thought that ULTIMATE SURVIVOR came out in 2005?? I didn't get it until fall 05. Besides not having the single " The One That Really Matters" ( a great tune) it had every other single and hit I can think of. "How Much Love" is a good song but I don't think it ever made the charts so it wasn't on the collection.

You Know Who You Are was a single in 1993/1994 and they toured behind that collection worldwide in 1993.

Great collection and I don't want another one unless there's unreleased songs on there and some new studio shit.

Ultimates dropped in 8/04 and it is absolutely terrific. So good I haven't picked up last year's inferior pckg yet.

It's only warts are missing Burning Bridges, Pop. Girl, Moment Of Truth, Broken Promises, Nothing Can Shake Me and Hungry Years.

I was just joking saying there will probably be another one this year it is frustrating as most of the time the band isnt even aware they are being released!!!

Aha...that's why Ultimates is SO good...full band participation and cooperation from Sully, Peterik and Jamo,
remastered sound....pix, liner notes, interviews, badass cover.

Holy crap! I'm going to be in NOLA the week Jimi is supposed to be in Beaumont TX. Any idea what venue? I would drive four hours to see him, any day.

That was me above... my account accidentally got deleted! LOL

I just emailed that drummer to find out where they're playing.

Looks like Jimi will be in Connecticut on March 6th. Here's the info: http://www.foxwoods.com//OurWonders/Entertainment/FreeShows/FreeShows.aspx

That's an 8 hour drive for me. Hmmmm. It's a FREE SHOW! I'm so tempted!!! But it's a TUESDAY night. Jeez. Better wait for the Texas show.

Whee! Sherylrob that is so amazing!!!

That PeteMendillo website seems to be the ONLY place for information on tours!!! Nothing on JimiJamison.com or on his MySpace page either!

I just received an email back from Mr. Pete Mendillo himself, and I'm SOOO excited. He said he'd find out from Jimi where the venue is in Texas and get back to me personally! ONE DEGREE OF SEPARATION!! LOL

I'm going to be doing Katrina CleanUp that week and Texas is just four hours away. I'm so excited I could scream. What an amazing ending to my week volunteering!

And like you, I'm going even if I have to walk. LOL
