Serious Question

Postby knox » Mon Mar 05, 2007 11:32 am

This is not a "Piling On" thread, but a serious question.

Has anyone heard anything at all out of Augeri? It seems he has become as reclusive as Perry.

Last I heard he attended a show and saw Jeff perform in NY or NJ. That is about all I know. Not much, but that's all I've got.

I have a bit more, supplied by a UK interviewer who interviewed Neal and Ross over the phone for Classic Rock magazine while the guys were at Mardi Gras....

Neal said that he has talked to Augeri recently, and Augeri told him he is 50% back vocally.

Everything probably gets caught-up as spam and deleted anyhow. Most email servers let so much crap through that it's kinda difficult for anyone to differentiate between what's intended to be real and what's not.

How do we really know if any of our 'real-addressed' email gets read? Truth is, we don't. Even if we label it for 'read receipt', firewalls and filters don't (and shouldn't) return the request. Who cares if we have a REAL email addr - which as members of the DMA, we can get anyone's regardless of suppression requests - it doesn't mean that the recipient will read it or even reply to it.

Kinda like PMs. If we don't return them, how do you know that anyone even reads them?

later~

Take this for what it's worth. A friend of mine knows someone who knows someone who knows Augeri or someone in his family (convoluted, yep!). She was told that he will be releasing his album on iTunes in August/September of this yr. She does not know if he will tour or release it as an official CD tho.

I'm not a member of Augeriville, and I guess they're not accepting new members. There are no updates on their main page. I actually asked on BT a little while ago if anyone knows about the status of his web site. I know many people here are not interested in his career, but I'm still a fan and would like to know when something new happens. It's too bad that Andrew's emails have gone unanswered.

Augeriville? I take it that that name was 'inspired' by Perryville.

Yes, Perry invented adding "ville" at the end of one's name. Just like he invented singing.

I just think Augeriville is an unfortunate choice of name for a website about a guy who made his living by trying to follow in Perry's footsteps.
