Back in 96 when Yngwie put together a cd called "Inspiration", he gathered some of the many singers he has worked with to help him out with this cd. Of course Jeff was one of them. After the cd was released, Yngwie decided to do a video for the 1st song from the cd which happend to be the one Jeff sang on. At the time, Mark Boals was the singer for Yngwie's Rising Force, so they decided to just do the video with Mark lip-synchin to Jeff's vocals. ( Jeff didnt even know that this video existed till I brought it up to his attention!). Needless to say, Mr Soto isnt too happy with someone lipping to his vocals for a SECOND TIME!!! ( back in 85 Yngwie made a video for his "I'll See The Light Tonight" single from "Marching Our". The video was shot after Jeff had left the band and the guy who replaced Jeff was seen lipping on this video as well. His name? MARK FUCKIN BOALS!

Oh yeah, and VH's "You Really Got Me", is almost as good as the Kinks

also loved Aerosmith's "Come Together". even better than the Beatles, imho, and that's saying something.

Their version of "Frozen"(Madonna) blows the original away.
Also Talisman's cover version of "Ice Cream Man" and "Tie Your Mother Down" are another 2 that are as good or better than the originals (IMO) .

Yes, but speculation was all that it amounted to, I believe. If I remember correctly, she committed suicide and he wasn't home when it happened.

I could do without all the over-the-top guitar gymnastics on it, but I think Jeff's vocals are better than the original.

I like the Beatles original LSD the best, but Shatner's cracks me up. Being a devout Trekkie anything he does is fine with me. Denny Crane is almost as classic as James T. Kirk.

I LOVE VH's version of Dancin' in the Street. It's got that cool funky vibe.
Cheap Trick's Daytripper and Magical Mystery Tour are also favorite covers.

I saw it brywool and it was so bittersweet for me. I would have loved to have had those Enterprise(NCC 1701) models. I have one, but it's just a copy, not one that was really used.

There was a great Star Trek 40th Anniversary show on the History channel Saturday. It was hosted by Leonard Nimoy. George Takai and Nichelle Nickols gave a lot of commentary.

ohsherrie, I think the guitars really make that Kansas cover a step above the original.what may sound as bunch of "guitar riff-raff" to you, is some amazing licks and scales that are hard for most guitar players to attempt to play and still sound beautiful when slowed down to half the speed. You have to be a guitar player to appreciate the skills of Yngwie I guess

Neal had his fro and “Fu Manchu,” (wearing a red shirt maybe). It was one of the best bad ass Neal pics I’ve seen, and the best visual for your name I’ve seen. Lol. Hard to go wrong with any Neal pics, though.

Cash's "In My Life" (Beatles) is one of the most haunting songs I've ever heard.

& Jimi Hendrix made "All Along the Watchtower" his own.

Jeff Buckley's "Hallelujah" is amazing (though Cohen's is still my fave version)
