Well at least the acknowledge that Journey did something worthy of their attention. Of course I think 126th is way too far down on the list and totally disagree with a lot of the ones that ranked higher.

Good question Lar. Wasn't she the one who was initially credited with moving hip hop into the mainstream?

Shania, good point. It just be a list rather than a ranking.

Didn't some band in makeup have 1 of the biggest live albums of all time in 1975. I could be wrong. Notice most of the bands on that are shit hippie bands that tree hugging liberal fucks like Kurt LOAD from Rolling Stone and MTV like. Any Van Halen album including the one with Gary Cherone is better than any Bob Dylan or Dead album

Apparently, this list has hit a nerve....CNN has a story on it...and they're none too happy, either...:?

Reminder...Rolling Stone is ELITE ROCK... and cares only for Dylan, Zepplin, Springsteen and Dixie Chicks--at least since 2004---(they are ROCK???) and NIRVANA..

As a music theory / composition double major (with another in Creative Writing thrown in for good measure) who has been studying music for 25 years and training for even longer, I can tell you that NOT ONE music major I know respects Nirvana, Pearl Jam, or any of the dumbassed three-chord-playing-staring-atmy-feet-and-standing-in-the-same-place-for-the-whole-show Grunge retreads Seattle regurtitated - let alone HipHop or country performers. Whenever my former guitarist and I would encounter a Cobain worshipper, we would systematically debunk any assertion that idiot would make about Curtis' alleged brilliance. And don't get me started on Kiss...great live band, a lot of fun...but VH1 Classic showed a Kiss concert a few nights back followed directly by a Dream Theater show...my friend was shocked that he had never heard of DT because they, in his words, "blew them away". So f**k the elitist dickheads at Rolling Stone and MTV. Bands like Journey and Def Leppard are the only reason MTV still exists, so if they want to turn their back on them, fine. Anyone who knows anything knows how talented the guys are, and so screw the Hall of Shame, too.

I finally took a look at this "list". Ridiculous - and that has nothing to do with the placement of Journey. It's just ridiculous. Stupid RNRHOF.
