I must say only been back on this board for a few days after a break and what bitterness there is especially regarding Steve Augeri! I remember at the time a lot of people on this board thought he was marvellous! But yet you turn your backs and attack someone at the first opportunity!!?

Steve Augeri is a great singer, and delivered Journey songs with such heartfelt expression , he was the best we could have hoped for after Steve perry. After singing what must be difficult songs to sing for a long period of time, he begins to have throat trouble, backing tracks are brought in to help ....Was this really such a crime?? Im not wanting to go into the ins and outs of what was used and to what extent as I see all avenues were exhausted at the time.
But what amazes me is still there is bad feeling towards steve, he made two fantastic albums with journey for the time he was with them, be grateful!!!

See jeff scott soto is flavour of the month at the moment but god help you jeff if you fluff your lines or go off key once or twice , youll be lynched!!

It wasn't backing tracks....... it was LEAD VOCAL tracks that were used ! That is what the problem is.

At first, I was so upset about the tapes, I was upset about Steve P being gone, but, one person said something to me, that has changed my heart..
JOURNEY is like family...We love them, no matter what..
We get mad at them, we don't agree with what they do, but, alas, we still love them, all of them, and I pray they can get over their differences.
Steve Perry, is and always will be THE BEST. Steve Augeri is one hell of a nice guy that didn't quite get the respect he deserved.
JSS< is good, and, from what I hear, a great guy. Even though I don't agree about the things that were said about another guitar player from another GREAT POWER GROUP..He's still family....

The ones that are bashing and saying bad things about people, ignore them, Mr. Perry does...They're not worth your anger or your thoughts...I would love to know how Steve Augeri is doing. Like you, Milly, it would great to hear from him...I hope he's doing well.

God, we don't need another thread of this crap...been there done that, read the book, seen the movie, rented the DVD, watched it on TV and pirated the soundtrack.
