Wolfie Spotted Picking Up New Custom Bass Guitar

Postby Voyager » Fri Feb 09, 2007 2:19 pm

Well, I guess this ends the speculation as to what kind of bass guitar 15-year-old Wolfie will be playing. This photo was taken as mom was picking up Wolfie outside of a Wilmington, Delaware Custom Bass Guitar Shop (her hometown):

Maybe she will also buy him a matching Baby Bop customer guitar case?

Maybe Wolfie will use his Barney bass guitar to bat the Krispy Kreme donuts that people will be throwing at him?

I agree. THis kid is only trying to live up to Dads expectations. Eddie needs to rethink what he's throwing his kid into. Having him come out to jam with dad on a solo during a show is great, and from what I heard, he's damn good for his age, but announcing him as the bassist for VH to piss off Michael Anthony is just dumb. What happens to this kid when the diehards start booing him during a show or something? I'm not so sure this'll turn out too good for Wolfie. He definately deserves a chance in the Music World, but now isn't the time and not with this "band".

They could put a chimp at bass and DLR would show up. He's in it for the dough.

I was reading an article in a magazine a few days ago about an interview David did with a foreign (German, I believe) magazine in the early 90's. The interviewer asked him what he missed most about being in Van Halen. His reply was that he had burned through fifty million dollars in five years time. From that response I surmised he certainly missed the money.

Yep.But the whole point of this tour wasn't about what the "core of Van Halen" was....it was a payday.Plain and simple.

A payday? Imagine that!

What do you suppose most other bands are in it for, the pleasure of each others company?

Some bands do it for both. This would not have been one of those cases.

At the stage VH, the Police and Genesis are at, they are doing it for the money.

I mean, I don't even get why that's a criticism, it's their job isn't it? Oh, fuck Van Halen, it's just a payday.... like, really??? No shit??? They're doing it for money???? GODDAMN!!!!!

Regarding DLR's thinking... If there's a person out there who can be certain of what the man is going to do and knows exactly why he's doing it, I'm in total awe of that individual. Mr. Roth is undoubtedly a complex individual whose actions and musings often go way beyond what most people I know find "normal" or "predictable."

There's absolutely no shame in wanting a paycheck, but with Roth, I don't see that as being his sole intention.

 The kids has been playing instruments all his life and probably has more musical knowledge than alot of people. He played in front of thousands of people when he was only 13 on the 2004 VH tour during Eddie's solo. How can anyone make fun of a kid like Wolfie with his musical ability?

Oh man, Kenny, I thought you'd be relentless on this issue! You're not really caving into this one, right?

Anyway, regarding the whole touring thing, Ed said on the 'VH Live:RHRN' DVD that the (recorded) music was the reason - the sole purpose - to perform live for the fans (but we don't know if he was totally wasted during that interview or not).

Voyager, what the heck is all that stuff in your avatar? I see a hemerocallis (daylily flower), a human eye, a bullet, safety pins, a pill bottle, a human lip and teeth, piano keys, and something else in black & white that I can't tell what it is! :?:
