Azoff sucks and just wants his take from the summer shows

I'd fire his ass in a second.

#1 He is looking to bleed a veteran band like JRNY for the summer attendance.
#2 What has he done innovatively to help?

Fuck, concert attendence is the income, I do not doubt that. The band doesn't need this old fuck to book ampitheaters in the summer. They can do that on their own!

Like Bob Ezrin said, "Do not worry about hit CD's or hit singles, there is no such thing any more."
Even Aerosmith - when was their last hit?

The thing to do is work on putting more asses in the seats. Maybe be able to draw without sharing funds on a package tour.

I am convinced Azoff wanted to cash in on the JRNY cash cow with clone Augeri at the helm. Now that Jeff is there, they will pretend to have a vision. Where was the fucking vision previously?

Cultivate the fan base. For sure, make more music. Keep everyone interested. The band should enjoy themselves and be creative. Fuck, charge for exclusive content on the home page and throw the hardcore base some new music. Play a new song or two live at shows. Also continute to play the fucking dirty dozen at ampitheaters and make the bank!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just STOP thinking about top 40 singles. Stupid. You might MAYBE hit the lottery and get lucky but look at the charts....
Name me one of Journey's contemporaries that have hit singles these days? Waiting? Bueller? Bueller? Anyone?

The band should make good music, maximize sales of merchandise, and strive to add to the ticket sales.

Don't fucking worry about hits..... Let the new music be hits in OUR (the fans) eyes. Make new recordings an artistic triumph.

Off soapbox. Sorry all.

How's that for a scud/nuke?

Fuck Leppard.

Journey has potential.

Elliott hates rock and wants a bunch of early 50's Euros to be a boy band.

Got news for you you fat Euro fuck. You look like shit and your fan base has wanted High n Dry part II for a long time. Get your drummer a bionic arm and try to play something that isn't run through pro tools fuck face.

AGREE but according to the last J. Elliot interview the next cd will sound very similar to H'n' Dry. We'll see. I know for a fact that AR enjoyed X tour in the 5th row seats in Baltimore April 15th 2003 No opening act that night

I agree Ed. As an outsider looking in, the band seems completely mismanaged. I believe Azoff puts very little effort into Journey but for some reason still weilds great power with them. I, too, believe that he sits on his ass and collects tour money. The band's official website is really a joke - the band all but ignores it. (except the very fan friendly JSS). DVD's have been recorded and never released. It just seems to me that minimal effort is made to promote Journey. John Fogerty can release a live DVD/CD and play two NFL halftime shows in one day and draw a huge tv audience and Journey can't? There is no fresh thought put into Journey, no cutting edge management of any kind.
