Something to think about...

Postby 7 Wishes » Sun Mar 11, 2007 1:00 pm

.....a friend of mine, devastated as we all are by yesterday's tragedy, said this of Brad Delp:

"I never met him, but he was a friend of mine."

Just something to think about.

Truer words have rarely been said.

Brad was one of a kind.

 Amazing.I heard the same words here, from someone who grew up with Boston's music. He said he has the weird feeling that he lost someone close."I never met him,but he was my friend."...So sad.

I believe that somehow the singers/bands who touch us with their voices and songs become a part of us.
I see life like a movie that has different soundtracks to it.There are certain sounds(songs) that bring back the taste of our childhood, the memories of our youth,we can relate certain events or times of our lives with certain songs...I guess you all know what I want to say.
Maybe this is the reason why we feel empty inside when one of the people who were part of our lives in a musical way dissapears physically.

Brad's voice was so good.It sure had the power to reach the listener in a very emotional way.
Everytime I heard him with Boston I recalled a better world,my childhood, the bright summers,Mom cooking for me,my room,my childhood dreams, the smell of the air after the rain...things like that. His voice is related to so many things from the past.
Makes me very sad to realize that all that is gone.I almost want to refuse to believe that Brad passed away.

I was reading what a poster here said about Brad commiting suicide...I don't think I even wanna know how he died. You know?
Just want to remember him as one of the greatest singers who made me and so many others feel great.
