If I wanted to, it's a 2 hour drive.

However, I think I will bask in the sun tomorrow and kick back in shorts....Hahaha, you stupid east coast fuckers!

Yep, you guys have it made... earthquakes, floods and fires. I'll take the cold temps and the snow

Seriously, though... I think California's just great. I've only spent two weeks of my life there, but I fell in love with the place.

Hey, it's been 75 - 80 degrees here for the last week. :D I'm in the mid-Atlantic. I would have liked to have seen a little snow this winter though. :(

You guys always seem to have ice in Baltimore! I'm stuck here in NH. It took me 1.5 hrs to get home and it's usually a 50min ride. My wife had it worse. 1 hour to go 10 miles from Nashua, NH. Old man winter seems intent on tormenting us one last time hopefully. Was just getting used to 65 degrees the other day and now this. :?

I'm convinced I've got it slightly worse down here on Long Island....it's been sleet and freezing rain all day....the last time this happened (valentines day) my driveway was 2" of thick ice for 2-3 weeks....I slipped on my ass 4-5 times during that period, once while holding my 14 month daughter. Thankfully, I fell on my ass with her on top of me.

So right now, there's a 1" coating of snow on everything, with freezing rain coming down to turn it all into ice....

Time to start working on the wife and convince her that living either in the southwest or southeast beats ANYTHING NY.

Where are you, strangegrey? Nassau or Suffolk? I'm guessing Nassau, judging by the 1" of snow. We have about 3" out here.

Dude Frank we're getting blasted too.
I'm 5 miles NE of Philadelphia and the shit's been going on all day and now it seems worse.

They did not predict this much here.

While I hope you all are safe, warm and filled with
everything you need..........
Keep that shit the hell away from here!
I said recently, I wouldn't mind taking the lads one last
time sledding but I've since had different thoughts on the matter.

I'm with Dean'o here, I sooooooo miss the perfect days
of California weather.

I'm really at a point where I want the hell out of here...I keep saying Florida and my wife goes "But what about the huricanes!"
I'm like, "this is worse, you don't have to shovel it!"

The moving truck just pulled out of my driveway an hour ago, and it's North Carolina or bust! As I was standing outside this morning, shoveling another access path for the movers, one of the guys said to me: "So, what is bringing you to North Carolina"? I looked down at the pile of snow and ice and said "You're looking at it"! I am still amazed, after all these years that some people actually love this shit! I consider New England winters (at least north of Boston) to be cruel and unusual punishment, and I've been punished long enough!

Good luck John! Hate to see a fellow New Englander flee but I totally understand. After seeing 65 degrees a few days ago I couldn't bear to see snow again, nevermind shoveling the shit. Man was it heavy this time. Time for a snowblower. My back can't take it anymore! :x
