omg. That whole BTM interview was such a painful experience. Two hours getting grilled by that interviewer/producer/whatever-he-was guy. I would have paid Cyndy money to cut me off. I was a nervous wreck.

Hey, Lora...
I often wonder about these TV Interview things...
They interview you for, like, 100 hours and then only use about 5 minutes, right?

It was miserable. Cyndy and I were sitting in this dark club in SF and they have this big-assed bright light in your face. They are firing off questions and you can't see the guy who is asking the questions or the camera because the light is in your face.
You never know when the camera is on you and you're trying to think of answers that don't make you look like a complete idiot. We would finish one question where I thought I actually sounded good and then they'd go "oops. Background noise. We'll have to re-do that. Can you remember what you just said?" Not.

I think it is so INCREDIBLE the loyalty you have shown to Steve Perry over the years. I can only imagine how difficult it is to come on these message boards and read some of the things that are said about him, and restrain yourselves from jumping in and ripping folks apart. On the other hand, it may be equally as difficult to read how passionate people are about this man and how he touched so many lives...and how we miss him so.
I just wanted to let you know how much I respect and admire you both.

Ditto granny and Donna!!Well said.
SP is part of the reason I became a fan to begin with, and BIG part of the reason I became a singer myself.
He changed my life with his musical influence.Even though he is retired now, I would still love to hear him do something new,no matter how much range he does or doesn't have.

Say, from 1998 to present.

Thanks everyone. It is difficult to read some of these posts and not respond. I am a fan but I cannot respond as a fan because people read so much into anything I post. It is tough to care about someone and see hurtful and inaccurate things said about them and not want to set the record straight. It makes me sad to see so many angry people engaging in all the trash talk. I know how lucky I am to have shared in the Journey experience for so many years and I treasure those memories and relationships.

What a fucking stupid comment. Just because you are narrow minded doesn't mean the rest of us are.
Idiot.
