Dude, respect your opnion and all, but Bon Jovi is the top melodic rock band of all-time in just about every aspect. Total albums sold, platinum albums, longevity, Top 40 hits, #1 hits, etc. And they're still just rolling along. They are a CERTAIN 1st ballot HOF'er, as is Journey.

SJ, I just ckecked BJ on RIAA, and they don't have the overall selling of albums like Journey does. I was shocked. Slippery was a monster, and NJ sold 7 million. But other than that, except for GH, they fall flat. Journey DID sell equally. Infinity, Evolution, Departure all got around 3-4 million, Escape 10, Frontiers, 7,and ROR almost 3. That is pretty well rounded.

Good post. 2 things though. 1) I was speaking worldwide, and 2) IN NO WAY am I saying Journey isn't as good as Bon Jovi. Position by position Journey DESTROYS them. Most notably Perry over Bon Jovi and Schon over Sambora. Journey beats them like the Ducks would the Blackhawks......by a lot.

I have to agree. Perry on his own has two albums, one of which was average at best, and not nearly the success or influence to get it. Perry goes in with Journey, and that's it.
