Journey rocked Amsterdam

Postby Carlo » Wed Mar 21, 2007 6:10 pm

Whoo what a show. Seen three shows last 2 weeks, but seeing Journey in Paradiso holding about 1500 people that is just awesome. I bet they have not played such a small stage for ages. We were way standing with our noses up front, having a good view on the stage. Compared to the UK audience the Dutch were extremely loud and made it impossible for Jeff and Dean to sing during Lights, Open Arms and Faithfully. Never heared a crowd sing that loud! Had a short MnG with Ross, Deen and Jeff before leaving back home. Can't wait for a new album to come out. But hopefully we can enjoy Mr. Soto's voice real soon!!!

This was an evening to remember :P

Carlo,

Glad you and Lisl had a great time. I was thinking about you all last night and wanted to be there so badly. I'm having withdrawls already, LOL!! :P

Maybe I will get to see you guys again soon!!

Hope you got some good pics to share!

I was there too, what a vibe, what an audience, what a band... JSs nailed every song and Opened the Door was even better then Perry could have ever sang it himself.

Did you European fuckers at least have the courtesy to wear deodorant? Or, as I suspect, did the place smell like Rome in July?

I do taste some jealousy from some americans amongst you, and you should be jealous because I don't think Journey will ever perform in the u.s like they did in Amsterdam last night.

I have to agree with rdekker, Jeff. You sound amazing on 'Opened The Door'!! Thanks for keeping it in the set, as it is now my favorite Journey tune! 8)

As a dyed in the wool 'Euro" (actually I am British rather than European) who has seen all but 3 shows from the UK tour, that the Paradiso audience were 'up for it' in a way that made this gig special. As to the 'whif' in the air, it wasn't bodily odours but 'wacky backy' and beer.

Great show - only to be surpassed by the Spanish in Madrid.

Last time I checked, Brits were in fact Euros. Now you think you are superior to the rest of the continent? I know the Limeys didn't sign on to join the Euro dollar, but you now think you are above the rest of them is amusing.

You all stink, and smell of odor and gingivitus(except Ireland; Andrea Corr and her hot sisters are from IRE so they don't get lumped in with you losers).

Dude, whatever happened to the Corrs? I saw the video for "Breathless" and thought this songs going to be huge. Then poof! Nothing. By the way, the drummer chick is the hottest of the three, followed by Andrea, then the other one!!!! No ifs ands or buts.
