Classic VH logo is back!

Postby vhroth » Fri Mar 23, 2007 4:42 pm

The offical website has the original VH logo on it now. Maybe we will be getting some news soon.

Either one is fine by me, as long as Eddie gets his head on straight and starts making good music again.

From what Eddie says he has "10 albums worth of new songs".

Yea, but how many of them are really worth a shit considering
90% of them were probably written while in a drunken stupor.

Here's to honest-to-God hope that Eddie REALLY cleans up
in Rehab, starts from scratch and writes some killer,
new VH tunes, no matter who's singing them!
I just wanna hear Eddie play like the
Eddie-Fucking-Van Halen I grew up with back
in the 70s and 80s!
Welcome to Terminus... You hungry?

That is so very awesome! My cousin gave me a machine shopped ZZTop keychain (the ZZs) he made in high school, and I remember being SO sore that it wasn't the VH one. LOL

Note - Eddie will never play like the Eddie of the 70s and 80s, cos he ain't!!!!

Most of the music we all love from VH was probably written/recorded under the influence of copious amounts of booze and/or drugs. Like most musicians of the rock/metal genre, until they grow up a little in their 50s....

Amazing how you continue to come across as someone who dislikes this band. Incredible in fact.

I love the band Kenny - and I love Eddie. Hell, look at this guitar I paid $3,500.00 for two years ago:

Image

Only three of them exist, and they were authorized by Van Halen. It will probably be worth around $10,000.00 someday. If this doesn't say I am a huge Van Halen fan, I don't know what does.

First of all, I didn't create that wine bottle PhotoShop image above (but someone did do a great job on it). The picture of Eddie on the bottle is actually a real undoctored photo of Eddie. Second, I am looking forward to Eddie writing a new tune - and that WOULD be much better than him drinking another bottle of Smoking Loon. Eddie is now in rehab, so he has admitted the problems that people like me have been concerned about for many years. If Eddie going into rehab doesn't prove the fact that he was having a bad drinking porblem, then I don't know what will. It will be great when he gets out and gets back to being the Eddie we have all come to know and love over the years.

Anyway Kenny, it's all good bro. I know you're just defending Van Halen and Eddie. I actually have to laugh a little when I read your posts. The fact is, we are both big Van halen fans - we just have a different way of discussing it at times.

It plays and sounds as good as any high-end Jackson, but I never play it. I keep it in a display case. It's never even had strap buttons put on it.

I don't usually laugh when I read yours - especially when you profess to trying to be funny.....

And I doubt whether Eddie will 'get back to being the Eddie we have all come to know and love' - I think he'll probably be sober, for a start. Didn't work for Clapton, hope it works for Ed.

Interesting guitar! Is it yours?

I drew that logo in colored chalk over half of my garage floor of my last home... Man, did I hate having to hose it off before I moved! I have a photo of it somewhere...
