w/Roth

1- Little Guitars
2- Mean Street
3- In A Simple Rhyme
4- Jump
5- I'm The One

Honorable Mention - Me Wise Magic (not so much the song itself as the moment it embodies)

w/Hagar

1- 5150
2- Right Now
3- Humans Being
4- Mine All Mine
5- Can't Stop Loving You

Honorable Mention - Dreams

Wow, that was harder than I thought it was gonna be, especially with the Roth tunes. I'd say that "Little Guitars" is definitely my favorite VH song of all time, but the rest could be changeable depending on my mood.

Oh, and as far as VHIII is concerned, I really dig "From Afar."

The 1998 album called "DLR Band," EyeOf, my good man.

I'd be careful to get the whole thing because the ENTIRE album is unbelievable.
So incredibly underrated.

Blacklight
Counterblast
What Was That?!?!
IndeedIDo
Black Sand
Right Tool For The Job
Weekend W/ The Babysitter....and on and on.

Atticus, replace Josephina for Fire In The Hole and I'm close to you on your Cherone era picks.

Prolly means the epic How Many Say I?

I do LIKE Josephina (kinda quirky cool, Eddie and Cherone singing into the same mic) just not enough for top 5 on the record.

By Van Halen standards,Van Halen 3 sucked. There were some pretty gay songs on that album.

Ok,"That's Why I Love You" was the song originally planned for the VH 3 album, but it got scrapped for Josephina.
It kind of had this "Can't Stop Lovin You" vibe to it,but the vocals were garbled really bad.

Well, good move b/c even though CSLY became a hit, Josephina destroys it.

Yeah...the one I wanna hear from those sessions with Cherone that really kicked ass was called "Blood From A Rock".I guess it had a Led Zep type of vibe.

Van Halen 3 is irrelevant.

Not one song from VH 3 was on The Best Of Both Worlds. I think the only reason they added Without You to The Best Of Vol 1,a few years after its original release was because of some kind of buy out deal from Cherones contract with the band.

How Many Say I,Josephina...most of the album. The only reason it sold 500,000 copies is because the name VAN HALEN is on it.

Those two songs seem pretty somber, not gay! What's so happy about them?

Pardon your French? They do not suck... but we could debate for many an hour.
Maybe we should agree to disagree, and say that Van Halen (mostly) rules?!

Yea, that plus the fact that it was a #1 single might've influenced the decision, too.

It was number #1 mostly because of everyones curiosity of how VH sounded with the new singer. I remember Detroit DJ's playing it all the time and discussing it a lot. Even discussing it over the song while it was playing. They kept saying it just doesn't sound right, not TO bad,Eddie sounds pretty good but....the vocals just don't match etc. I think it was the most played song of that year or something but a lot of people didn't like it.

How come no songs from Van Halen 3 were on The Best Of Both Worlds? Even With Out You,a #1 single.
