Not necessarily a good thing to treat the fans like crap but in fairness to Brian, he is a person just like us and has everyday problems just like the rest of us. He just has more money to make them go away faster. Laughing

I agree, we all have bad days. It was the one and only time I met him though, so I'm no longer a fan...

So I wonder about all the people who were duped by Steve Augeri? He isn't half the person Bryan Adams is.

Alright everyone - by a show of hands, how many of you didn't see that coming. :o

Just for the record, I was just stating my personal experience with BA. Things with Augeri took on a life of their own

My fault that was a quote from rockindeano and for some reason my quote bars didn't grab that part.

Like what? I missed out on most of the details. I just read where Rich over at BT said He never lipped on any stage whatsoever. Can someone help me out?

Well, when you can't sing, can't write and can't play an instrument, you kind of have to be nice don't ya?

It's like women. If you are hot, you can afford to be a bitch and expect monetary stuff and lots of bank. If you are fat, you don't get rich guys, you don't get 5 bedroom houses, and you don't get cock....You kind of have to be nice to get anything.

See my analogy here?

And by the way, ask anyone here on this board who has met Augeri and who has also met me, and I bet you I am seen as being just as nice.

Ok guys, it's time to have a listen to this.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jSzywBIBk1U

I think these guys may be the sleeper for the MR HOF that no one has mentioned yet. The band is tight and very live. And Chris can sing like a mofo. I just got turned on to these guys a couple of years ago again. I didn't realize Chris was this good. I'd say these guys rock harder than BA.

What do you guys think?

RockinDeano wrote:How about this one guys. Seriously, do me a favour, and listen to this one.

I would love to see Journey speed up Open Arms to something like this.
This might be one of the best live songs I have seen excluding Espee.

They're not bad, not bad at all, but their body of work pales in comparison to Journey and BA.

You agree?

I don't think they rock harder than BA either.

The Black Crowes are the antithesis of melodic rock. While they did have a few memorable songs, they in no way compare to BA, let alone Journey.

Yep, I agree. I think Journey and BA have had a bigger impact than the Crowes. However, I do think they rock harder than BA.

I really think that Chris is a damn good vocalist, much better than I originally gave him credit for. He's not in Perry's range but he could lay it down as good as anyone back in 1990. I need to find a better clip on Youtube. All of the good shit has been deleted recently.

Well, I'm still holding out for Ann Wilson of Heart. I don't care how much weight she's gained...she's still a hottie, and she could sing me to sleep every night. In fact, I think Ann Wilson is the female incarnation of SP, and I put her in the same stratosphere as SP, Brad, Ronnie James Dio, Sebastian Bach, and James LaBrie.

The Crowes are great for a band with a heroin addict for a lead singer. Not enough of a catalog though. They Rock(ed?) harder than many bands in the last 15 years, and even had soem decent hits. but not worthy of MRHOF status. not yet.

hell no it's not. I agree, and you've tried to convince (pretty well in fact) that BA is worthy. it's possible. but unless and until the MRHOF is a reality, then we'll never know.

PLUS, he (C. Robinson) fucked up and lost that scrawny assed (decent looking) wife of his.

Let's face it though, The Crowes were better than ANYTHING Weiland fronts or fronted, Guns & Roses, and numerous other bands.

Flock of Seagulls was better than any shit Weiland has regurgitated over the years. I always hated the Stone Temple Butt Pilots more than even Clowngarten, Toe Jam, or Nerve-ona.

no, they just had cool hair.

Weiland had one decent song, maybe two with STP's. That's it. Then success hit and he got lost. Might have been a decent player in the rock world, but we'll never know.

STP isn't in the same category music wise as Grunge, no matter how you try to spin it. More like a harder Hootie and the Blowfish, type of band.

I think now that if we did hold the vote for top 4 HOF MR inductees, BA would be in. I think a lot of people have turned the corner on him.

if the Wombat would get his shit together and drop everything else, just work on this HOF shit, then we'd be getting somewhere.

I agree Aaron, they have some great tunes. Really like Jealous Again and Hard To Handle.

You've brought him back to my attention, that's for sure. I saw him in '83 with Journey. He put on a great show. What a double bill that was.

LOL

That'd be nice. But paying the bills around here is my only priority right now.

I have so much stuff to do including a server and message board upgrade....and persuing new ideas (1 have 3 new things in planning....)....but right now, chasing sponsors and money is the #1 :(

Lots to look forward to once I get through this mess.

Dude, one word to solve at least one of your problems.

Delegate.

Dude, screw T-Bone, allow ME to form and conduct the MR HOF proceedings. Seriously, Goddammit, I am doing it.
