I posted this article yesterday and it was deleted. I have a post further down, "Merit or Demerit" asking Andrew about it.
It's Andrew's forum so it is his right. It can't make everyone jump for joy but it will make a lot of Augeri fans happy and maybe even Augeri, if he reads it. Some positive feedback has to start happening for him somewhere and where best than where it all started?

Call me suspicious of your motives. That's all.

Motives! I don't have no stinkin motives, lol. I think that there is a famous line in a movie goes something like that.

I won't start anymore trouble, I promise. Can't promise that I won't try to finish on some tho.

So now suspicion is enough to get a thread deleted? Interesting.

Only in relation to a few individuals. But HOTS has responded, so case closed.

You're in here a lot lately dude. You trying to catch up with Deano's post count?

Have they or have they not officially covered him and themselves by denying 'gate?
Yes there've been innuendos (in Castronovo's case barely concealed) pointing the dirty end of the stick at him, but officially in verbage Neal, Ross and Deen have covered him. Cain, I don't recall going on record specifically about the tapes and Jeff has not touched it with a Johnny Holmes pole from what I've read.
Remember, I'm talking really ON RECORD here for the millions of Journey fans who've read those interviews done online, not what happens off-the-record and with the bunch of us who gather here, BT, Frank's and the Annex and JR's personal blog, Yahoo.

someone said something about Augeri possibly opening his fansite and a place for feedback? Yeah, the webmaster would be busy fulltime, deleting messages.

Saint,

I think Augeri was a pretty damn good singer. He was on the radio as well. "Remember Me" did get some radio play and made it to #47 on Billboard if I remember correctly. Obviously it wasn't a monster hit but it did get some radio play. "Higher Place" also got a bit of radio play but I don't remember it making Billboard.

Augie may have ran in place for a while but he had HUGE shoes to fill. I think he did well covering the catalog during his tenure.

The lip synch deal sucks, bottom line. I agree that it shouldn't have happened. However, everyone in that band at the time are also as guilty as Augie as every one of them knew exactly what was happening. What makes the band members other than Augie worse is that they are now lying about the issue in print. I have no time for that or them. To me that makes them all (-JSS) not nice guys. I have little respect for them now.

Your last point is a good one and could very well be correct.

L8r bro,

Aaron

in his future endeavors and look forward to hearing his first ever solo album entitled "In The Moment"
which will be released in 2007. This is hardly the end of the line but a new beginning for Steve as he is
finally out of the shadows of controversy that have surrounded "Journey."

1) Who will remember him as an amazing singer? He was never on the radio, never had a hit, and sang Perry-era Journey covers at concerts.
2) He wasn't a torchbearer. When he left, they were essentially in the same spot they were when he arrived....arguably in a worse spot. They pretty much "ran in place" for 8 years.
3) "Nice guys" don't lip sync.....ever.
4) Who is the "we" that wishes Steve Augeri "all the best?"
5) This IS "the end of the line."

In reference to Jeff having an issue with this website, I had NO idea. If he battled with them, I'm sure it was for a good reason, as he defends himself only when necessary. Didn't mean to offend. And I'm glad you all are acting like adults with your different opinions.

Yes, it was Jeff defending himself which he had the right to do. It had something to do with SoulSirkUs, if I remember correctly...does anyone remember?
