I'd say the NHL is the best product out there.

The A's do not draw, the Redskins are over priced. Any NBA team is immediately off the list, well - because the NBA sucks.

Oh, OK.
I dunno the criteria of Deano's list there, I'm going on my own subjective view of winning/tradition/titles.

They can't even afford enough players to fill out their organization.....fuckers have shorted us here in Rochester multiple times this year.

I don't see how the Cardinals could possibly be ranked lower than the Brewers. The Brewers have sucked for years.

1) WAY too much work
2) Fuck you
3) I decided to use my own subjective criteria and do it all-time, not present (who cares about that?)
4) I didn't say you made up the list.

Hey Larry, we have a minor league hockey team here, too (other than the Blues, I mean). The Missouri River Otters. Minor league hockey can be fun to watch.

What a fucking hilarious list. Leave it to us Red Sox fans to rank 88th for one of the greatest and most storied franchises in ANY sport! Jesus...we are perennial contenders and almost always make the playoffs and can afford to pay Matsusaka $50 million just for the privilege to talk to the guy, and we're not satisfied as fans! Ah...the misery of Red Sox Nation

I've been a Red Sox fan for over 20 years now and I can tell you that it seems like a large majority of Red Sox fans are pessimistic. It's not as bad since they won the Series again but I still think it exists. Perhaps that can be dispelled if they can actually finish first in the division ahead of the Yankees AND perhaps beat them in the playoffs again.

Ed, the Redskins are priced over a Billion because they own the stadium, not a city owned building / lease deal. They set the prices, get all the revenue from what the stadium generates. Very few teams own the arena / Stadium that they play in.

Ha. The Detroit Lions are dead last. Hilarious. And yet they still sell out every game, despite having the same odds at winning the Super Bowl as I have of winning the lottery.

Just out of curiosity, I went back to 2003 to see how the Tigers fared...in 2003 they were almost last...they have one winning season in 2006 after almost two decades of futility and sub-.500 baseball, and all of a sudden everyone loves them? K...

I think it's funny that in my town, they have to have a lottery to purchase Cubs tickets, even though year after year, they really suck. Wrigley is a fun place but they might as well just put up a minor league team in there and pay them the minimum MLB salary, no one will notice the difference.

Yep....but I'm sure they'd trade all of that for a Super Bowl trophy any year!

Hey, Superbowl-wise walk a mile in MY shoes. An Eagles fan with no Supes (Gibbs 3 that's THREEE).
True, they do have 3 NFL Championships but no one really acknowledges anything before the superbowl. Far's I;m concerned Washington is an all-time elite NFL franchise, I hate them but I have to admire it.

Often times the Otters are much more fun to watch than the Blues, eh? But I love what the new owners and John Davidson are doing. Respect to John D.

What the hell are the Cardinals doing so far down on that list? Bloody hell! they must have some good drugs in the sausages at Miller Field. It can't be that Miller Lite is better than Budweiser.

Nitpickey little shit like food costs are what "make" these rankings? Who the hell REALLY comes u with this shit? This is why I rarely visit ESPN's site(s).

While I'm at it, the Philadelphia Flyers deserve more than 96th place! I was at the WAC Center last night, and that fucking place rocked. Flyers fans totally support the team with the worst record in the league. This Sportsnation poll was a total fugasi!

Actually Moose, you're right.
The Flyers deserve to be in MY poll over people like the Broncos and Pats who have some crowns, but not over the decades long tradition of championship-claiber Flyer teams we've been treated to here. Granted, "only" 2 cups but they were a serious threat EVERY year from the first cup until like '93 or something.

Dig it! After winning cups in 74 and 75, they were in the finals in 76, 80, 85, 87, and 97. Conference finals in 89, 95, 2000, and 2004. Probably other times that I don't remember. The Flyers have been and clearly are one of the class teams in the league. FUCK anyone who says otherwise.

Of course, everyone can be brave and crush us now since we suck this year! :D

Yeah, I think Davidson will pull them out of this funk eventually, but it was hard to see them ship out Guerin and Tkachuk this season. Before last season, the Blues had made the playoffs for 25 years straight (no cups, though). I hope they turn it around a little bit next year.

I agree, the Cardinals should be higher on the list. They've always been a classy organization and are the most successful MLB franchise other than the Yankees in terms of number of championships. People here go absolutely nuts over them, myself included.
