We've had Daylight saving since the start of summer, but I can tell you it isn't too good in the Pilbara.....still 40+ at 6PM?

Not too good if you want to go for a walk, have a BBQ etc. It was planned as a trial for three years, but I'm not sure if it has overall public support - there's rumblings it might only be a one year trial, then a referendum.

A round of drinks for everyone! I have started a mini holiday... only Monday and Thursday I need to go to work, all the other days next week I'm off!

To celebrate I bought a pair of leather flipflops today. Very soft beige leather, and they are kind of Indian looking. May the summer begin soon!

My celebrating will be a limited...Within Temptation announced their first North American tour dates and the closest they get is Quebec...that's a bit of a trek up a lot of backroads to get to. The closest U.S. date? Kentucky! That's a much longer trek... :(

They're touring with Lacuna Coil. Excellent choice. Perhaps they will teach Within Temptation a thing or two about promoting in the states. Lesson #1: Don't put us LAST on the cd release dates. That killed Nightwish's sales here on their Once tour.

You never know, Jonny... they still may add some US dates to their schedule. When will their CD be released in the US btw?

The domestic release is set for July 24th...too long...I ordered the import. I still got a bit of store credit remaining from a big video game selloff, so it's not gonna cost me a dime.

The tour dates don't make a lot of sense. They start in Europe, fly to North America for a handful of gigs, then back to Europe for awhile, and then to North America yet again. Seems a bit inefficient and exhausting for the band.

Hmmm, we'd better bring an extra set of clothes tomorrow, SnakeLady. The forecast is rain. Would be much harder to dry our clothes if we spill our food, or I go sit in a pool of orange juice  once again.

I guess we'll have to take pictures of something else... Khan's massive manly legs for instance? :)

Well, we didn't spill our food last night, so here's Khan and his gorgeous legs/body (if only he'd get rid of that bush on his chin... sigh)

 Yeah, I really wouldn't mind that! Him having a much tidier bush on his chin would be soooo good...
