It wasn't on the "BOBW" because it was the "BOBW," not the "Best Of All 3 Worlds."
If where you're leading me is that even the band tried to erase the Cherone era, then I will acknowledge that without any qualm.

Two years after the original release?

BOV1 came in '96, III in '98 so somebody I guess thought W/OY was an important enough VH track to repress the thing with that song added.

For VH standards Van Halen 3 was a failure.

Who's arguing that?

It's a failure by almost anyone's standards. Flat out SUCKS.

Cause the album sucked ass! I'm sorry but it WAS irrelevant, and I'm a Van Halen fan from album #1, which I bought the week it was released! (Ok, granted that's because Gene Simmons name was on the back cover...but STILL...I heard ERRUPTION and it made me a fan for life)
I've said it before, I'll say it again. Cherone was all wrong for that band- they should've wrangled Sass Jordan into doing it like Eddie wanted. Now THAT';S an album that would've kicked our asses!
