Victoria - The Result

I have to make a huge apology to everyone out there, I/we were duped!! 1st of all, I have to start this with saying the human spirit is a beautiful thing & when tragedy strikes, we come together like 1 big community, or rather, family, doing whatever it is necessary to help each other through....for this I am grateful to know & have you who did come to the table as family members!

Now the hard part...as sick as it was the notion that someone could have initiated the horrendous act that was told to us, just as sick is the fact that someone made it all up for the potential gain of money, sympathy, gifts, etc., There is not much more we have to go on except the fact it has been confirmed the whole tragedy stricken unto this young JSS fan named Victoria was a complete hoax! We have gone through a flurry of emotions & tears the past 3 days, getting updates, sending prayers, even going so far is discussing a benefit show to raise money for the hospital costs to later find out Victoria, who claims she knew NOTHING about ANY of this, was contacted at work today by police & spoke to them about the situation...obviously she is not in the hospital!

It was all uncovered that this might be false after too many things didn't quite add up about this story. This 'friend' of hers was allowed to be at her side overnight in the ICU where as there were no family members with her at the hospital...he wouldn't give his cell or any number to reach him but revealed her cell number to the lot of us for messages & texts...he gave out her address to send gifts & such yet never revealed what hospital she was at & lastly, made sure there were no attempts at visiting her ourselves. There are still many things left as a mystery regarding this person who was giving the reports/updates & even Victoria herself being involved as a scam for these so-called 'collections' but I am beyond angry that the heartstrings of so many were pulled, maybe even followed through in sending things to him/them.

As much as I say thank you to you all, I say I am sorry for dragging you through this emotionally draining falsity. To me it's like calling for an ambulance & fire department for a major emergency only ending in a false alarm where they may have been needed elsewhere to save real lives. I do hope to get to the bottom of this a little more & I only hope there weren't too many of you who did fall prey into sending anything along to this waste of space for doing this to us. I am doing my best to keep expletives out of this little statement as the 'real' version would be very charged up & F-bombs all over the place...yes, I am angry!

There are many who were concerned with my safety as well, thinking this was a set up towards me since it started on the JSS Forum site but if this person has any agenda towards me, bring it on, I have my own little 'gift' for you!!

Just to re-confirm, Victoria is fine & well, the incident never occurred & now it's about finding this f-wit who used her name & likeness to spoil our lives for the past 3 days. I hope to never be taken in a 'cry wolf' situation like this again, but more so, ever drag you great people through it with me.

And no need to apologize,, you knew as much as we knew about this. I thought it was sickening to hear about someone attacking a poor 18 year old, but this is even sicker!!!

If nothing else, it was good to see that there were those who were genuinely concerned for what might have been going on. It really sucks that there are some people who would take advantage of the emotions of others like this.

But I still stand by what I said in the other topic about this, Jeff - that you're a saint for wanting to go to someone who you thought was hurt and the world needs more rock stars like you.

There's gotta be a way to track down the fucker who did this.
If I remember correctly the original message was posted on the JSS Forum and there should be a way to find the IP , track the fucker down and hand him over to Deano

Well, first of all, thank God she's OK. Secondly, what kind of a freaking lowlife would pull something like this? That's about the worst form of...I don't even know what to call it, I'm so mad. Well, Jeff, I'm glad this guy didn't get any money out of you or worse, and hopefully no one else sent "gifts" or "donations". Ugh.

I guess the only good thing to come out of this was JSS showing his true class. Thanks Jeff, and I'm sorry you had to go through this.

As stated by everyone else, I guess the silver lining lies in knowing that you are a stand up guy in making an attempt to personally stop by and see a fan. Sorry you had to go through an emotianal rollercoaster as well as everyone else. I was a fan after seeing you perform within a week of taking over the vocal reins (Charlotte in July '06), but now you have my respect as well. I'm sure you've earned alot of that over the last 24 hours, just sorry it had to come about in this manner. Just don't feel like a chump or like you've been duped. That is only possible if you care in the first place.

Unbelievable, I have been checking in from time to time to stay up to date with this situation. I am fairly new here, and mostly stay to myself. It was amazing to see the community come together in support of someone a lot of us didn't know, and there were some amazing gestures put forth by some members. It is a sad situation that someone would prey on the kindness and compassion of so many.

Jeff, you have shown the quality of man that you are, and that is endearing to your fans. For that, we thank you. Simply put, you are class personified.

To the individual(s) involved in this hoax, I have no comprehension of what would drive you to do this. I'm sure the authorities will be in touch with you soon, but you will have a higher power to answer to, the same one you were asking us all to prey to.

Yep, no kidding. I swear to everything holy that this person needs to be punished to the limit of the law. I can't describe how fucking mad I am. I've been praying for the recovery of someone that (God bless her soul) is healthy. OK good now I don't feel like such an ass for saying that I thought that the whole "she came around as I read the letter to her" sounded FAKE!!!! Having been on the healthcare provider end of a code blue many times myself, it all sounded way to overdramtic to me but, with that said, I also understand that people perceive things very different sometimes. I can be in an intense emergency situation (or even not so emergent) and then hear a family member retelling the story and think to myself "were you in the same room cuz that's not what happened."

I am glad that Victoria is OK and that is what is important. And I'm with everyone else, no apology necessary Jeff.

Nurse here too, I actually got nauseous when I read the dramatic lets-make-this-an episode-of-ER "code blue" post earlier today, I knew right then & there it was all a load of crap

I have never been to the JSS forum or homepage...so whatever.

When people do things like this they should be punished to the full extent of the law....and their names made public so they are exposed and do not feel the 'safety' of using the internet. Hope they find him and whatever can be done is done.
