something is fishy about the something is fishy part.. the bad guy knew too much for it just to be random internet surfers out to cause trouble.. somebody had inside scoops on the mods.. somebody that is evil and that had a motive .. they may be getting an evil laugh out of it , but its not what they had schemed.. 3 days and thats it.. they did get Jeff and his friends and fans.. but the backfire is that he demonstrated humanity beyond any could believe, and his fans were amazing and united for another fan that they dont know..

Yes, it showed something out of Jeff.
I can saythis much now that it was a hoax: Jeff's willingness to dive in headfirst recalled Perry and the band's compassion for Kenny 24 years ago. One of the best Perry/people anecdotes, and I'll remember this of JSS too.

Thanks for the update Jeff no need to opologise for what someone else did....But I'm sure glad you found out before you got any further into it and made a visit to an empty hospital room........Sounds like someone sure had an hiddden agenda........Just glad everyone is safe.....I beleive they will get what they deserve what goes around comes around...This just helps to remind us that this is cyber space and people sometimes are not who they say they are one of the unfortunate thing about the internet......But on the flip side it is heart warming to see all the people out there who cared ( At least some people still care about others BIG HUGS TO ALL OF YOU)

I just got home and just read that this was all a hoax! I can't fucking believe it!!! We were all had!! I have been so upset about Victoria that I have spent the past few days doing nothing but trying to find out how she is doing. I haven't been able to concentrate and feel like most all of you do, PISSED off that someone could do something like this!!!!

Jeff, don't you dare apologize for being the caring, compassionate and wonderful soul that you are!!! We were all duped!! But we all pulled together and it is nice to know that if something actually did happen, that we are all here for one another! Something to be said for that!!

Ya know Jeff, you didn't know so need to apologize...you are a caring, concerned person & that speaks volumes. There are many honest people in the world & many times tragedies are posted on the forums for prayer & support because this is a community. The sick person who perpetrated this hoax is just that SICK - demented...and, I hope he gets nailed. I'll admit it did sound a bit odd that "a friend" was in ICU and dramatic, but how can you know? Glad you found out before this scammer got away with something.

Been stareing at the screen incapable to understand who the hell could get SO low and pull such a horrendous scam.Unbelievable.
While I am extremely relieved that Victoria is unharmed,I'm thinking about the reasons behind this plan.
Not sure if the scammer(s) did it for money and gifts,I mean they gave out Victoria's address,not theirs.

But maybe it was a fake address and the gifts would have ended up to them.

I thought about what Jeff said...Maybe the real target was him.He would have visited the hospital...the scammer would have known exactly when he'd be there...Don't want to even think about the possible consequences.There are many fucked up people out there wandering free on the streets.John Lennon met one.

But maybe I'm too dramatic and all this was made up for attention.
Whatever the reasons,I hope that whoever did this will get some rest behind bars in the same cell with a guy named Bubba,if you know what I mean.

Thanks one & all for the support...it has been grating on me all night & even the sweet solace of knocking back a few doesn't help me forget this ridiculous event bestowed onto all of us. i do appreciate the many words & this will not change who I am regardless of the outcome....I still wish justice to be served on this person for bringing out the emotions I & we've all gone through the past days. That's the best thing to do. Just get on with it. This is the second time I have seen this happen. Although this was on a much wider scale. You can't help but become emotionally involved when you hear a story like that. Hard to believe people enjoy putting others through something like this. I am shocked, and a little angry but basically I am relieved that no young woman is laying in an ICU somewhere in that condition. So at least the day is better than it began. Don't apoligize for coming to your friends and fans for prayer. You did exactly what you should have done.
